Provides repair grants to elderly (62 years and older) very low-income rural homeowners that may be used to remove health and safety hazards by repairing roofs, providing a sanitary water and waste disposal system, installing screens, windows, insulation or taking other steps to make the home safe. No age restriction for 504 loans, must have very low income. Loans are at 1% interest rate for up to 20 years. Other restrictions and requirements may apply.
