Provides a government lending for housing repairs for low and very low-income applicants only. For very-low income homeowners 62 years old and older who cannot afford a loan to make necessary repairs, grant funds are available. Grants may be used to remove health or safety hazards, or to remodel dwellings to make them accessible to household members with disabilities. Grants are limited to lifetime assistance of $7,500.

Provides a government lending arm for housing program and repairs for low-income applicants. Serves the counties of Augusta, Rockingham, Highland, Frederick, Page, Shenandoah, Warren and Clarke and the Cities of Winchester, Harrisonburg, Staunton and Waynesboro. Provides repair grants to elderly (62 years and older) very low-income rural homeowners that may be used to remove health and safety hazards by repairing roofs, providing a sanitary water and waste disposal system, installing screens, windows, insulation or taking other steps to make the home safe. No age restriction for 504 loans, must have very low income. Loans are at 1% interest rate for up to 20 years. Other restrictions and requirements may apply.

The home repair goal is to help Goochland County residents who are homeowners to remain safely in their homes. Typical home repairs include but are not limited to: repairing roofs, floors, plumbing issues, and installing ramps.

Habitat for Humanity partners with low-income homeowners who live in Prince William County, Manassas and Manassas Park to make exterior and interior home repairs that alleviate critical health, life and safety issues or housing code violations. From minor exterior repairs to critical home repairs, accessibility modifications, and weatherization.

Granting Freedom is a grant program (up to $8,000) for home modifications for disabled veterans or disabled servicemen or women who sustained a line of duty injury resulting in a service-connected disability. JCIL aids in completing applications for home modifications and makes referrals to those community agencies that specialize in home repair services. JCIL participates with Virginia Housing, Inc. Rental Unit Accesibility Modification grant program (RUAM) and Granting Freedom Program for veterans that provide accessibility modifications for persons with disabilites.

Assists with getting indoor plumbing work done. Repairs and construction are done in the spring and summer.

Offers home modifications needed so clients with disabilities can remain safely in their homes. Includes carpentry, yard work, plumbing and electrical work. Provides a 1% loan for 20 years in an amount up to $20,000.00. This rate is fixed for the life of the loan. The loan is used to repair, improve or modernize a home. You must occupy the home and prove ownership.

Assist low-income and disabled homeowners with much needed home repairs to make their homes warm, safe and dry. Also address repairs that are a potential health risk to the home's inhabitants. Improves housing occupied by low-income persons by completing limited repairs and removing imminent health and safety hazards and/or barriers to habitability in their homes. Work may include: Plumbing repairs; Structural repairs where hazards exist; Electrical repairs where hazards exist; Roof repair/replacement; Repair/replacement of heating systems; Wheelchair ramps; Hand railings and grab bars; Kitchen and bathroom adaptations; Doorway widening.

Offers fast but limited assistance to families and individuals that find themselves faced with a serious housing problem. Assists households with the removal of a health or safety deficiency.

Typically, we assist with roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electric, hot water, well, and septic. We may be able to assist on other repairs as funding and labor are available, and dependent upon the number of ongoing repairs in the community.

Funding to construct ramps, install grab bars, railings and complete other home modifications that will enable a disabled individual to remain independent within their own homes. Availability depends on funding sources.

A grant of up to $8,000 to make accessibility modifications to a rental unit. Accessibility grants can be used to install ramps, grab bars and other modifications to make your home easier to navigate. This is not a loan, so no repayment is ever needed. Offers grants up to $50,000 to qualified renters with physical disabilities to make accessibility modifications. "Mini-grants" assist with modifications up to $1,500.

Provides critical home repair services to low-to-moderate income homeowners in Franklin County. The purpose is to help homeowners alleviate health and safety issues in and around their home. Eligible repairs include small roof repairs, handicap accessibility, window and door replacement, sidewalk and exterior stair repair, siding repair, electrical, plumbing and water supply and septic systems.
