Baby Care is a home-visiting, case management program providing nursing assessment, medical and social referrals for high risk pregnant women and infants up to the age of two.

JZC Community Homes LLC provides supportive residential living services for adults with intellectual disabilities (ID) and developmental disabilities (DD) in a safe, stable, and person-centered home environment. Residential services take place in a licensed or DBHDS-authorized residential home. The goal is to help each individual build independence, strengthen daily living skills, maintain their health and well-being, and thrive within their home and community.

Provides recreational programs and services for area residents in Virginia Beach. Offers cardiovascular equipment, youth game room, adult billiards, gymnasium, sportwall, racquetball courts, weight room, group fitness room, indoor swimming pool, dance room, demonstration kitchen, locker rooms and showers, meeting rooms, and indoor play structure.

Serves adult men & women with the primary diagnosis of Intellectual Disability (diagnosis must be documented as originating prior to age 18). Provide care, assistance and supervision to individuals in their own homes. These services are supplemental to the care provided by a primary caregiver or they may support an individual whose level of independence does not require a primary care provider. Each resident has a plan of care outlining support needs. This plan outlines specific outcomes expressed by the individual or evaluated as an area of need/challenge. The purpose of LIFT is to provide apartment-based Independent Living and Support Services to help foster care youth, ages 17-21, transition from residential care to independent living. Youth receive housing, vocational and educational services, life skills training, therapeutic services (counseling, therapy and/or substance abuse education), and the development of a network of support services in the community. LIFT is licensed for 25-beds for males & females transitioning from the foster care system to independent living in the community.

A housing choice voucher assisting low-income families, the elderly and disabled to afford decent, clean rental housing. Those who qualify for the Section 8 Program will not pay more than 30% of their income in rent. This also depends on the subsidy. This is accomplished by Federal Government Programs that help subsidize the cost of building these projects so that owners can charge a lower monthly rent. A more direct subsidy is paid monthly to cover the difference of what the eligible tenant can afford and the contract rent that is charged.

The Division of Licensing Programs (DOLP) strives to protect the safety, health, and well-being of children and adults receiving care in non-medical day facilities and residential programs. Assisted living facilities (ALF), adult day centers (ADC), children's residential facilities (CRF), and licensed child placing agencies (LCPA) are the main programs licensed through DOLP. Licensing inspectors conduct inspections of children and adult programs to monitor compliance with standards, regulations, and laws. Licensing inspectors are authorized to conduct investigations if there are allegations of noncompliance with the Code of Virginia, regulations, and program licensing standards. State and regional licensing staff also provide training to providers, facilities, and organizations.
