When someone applies for Medical Assistance, they are screened for all possible programs based on your age, income, financial resources, and other information. To be eligible for a Medical Assistance Program, a person must meet the financial and non-financial eligibility conditions for that program. Builds houses to help disadvantaged, low income families from sub-standard housing, who are willing to help build their own home as well as other homes. Homes are built by volunteers and homeowners, known as partner families. Homes are sold to partner families with a no interest mortgage. Habitat families are selected: 1) completion of application and credit report, 2) ability to repay zero-interest mortgage, 3) inability to obtain conventional financing for a home, 4) living in substandard housing or homeless, 5) meet income requirements and 6) agree to partner with affiliate. Volunteers welcomed from all walks of life.
