Application process
Requires application for services before rides can be scheduled. To determine eligibility complete an application for BT Access through any of the following options: mail, fax, or online through the website (https://ridebt.org/bt-access). Once eligibility is complete, scheduling a trip with BT Access is done during office hours Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Description
The service is available for persons with a temporary or permanent disability. Everyone must be certified to use BT Access requiring an application process. Any person traveling to Blacksburg with a valid ADA Eligibility Card from another state may also ride BT Access under the guidelines of the ADA. The service known as door-to-door allows the BT Access operator to accompany the eligible passenger from their door to the first exterior door of their destination. BT Access offers Travel Training for passengers who are eligible for BT Access services but who may also be able to use the accessible low floor buses. Riding the bus does not jeopardize the ability to use BT Access services, but allows the passenger more flexibility and freedom to travel whenever they choose.
