The Floyd County Department of Social Services is responsible for determining eligibility for the Food Stamp Program, Medicaid Program, and Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) Program, Cooling and Heating Assistance. This agency also administers programs for Adult Services, Adult Protective Services, Adoption, Child Care, Child Protective Services, Foster Care and other Court-Ordered services, e.g. Custody Investigations and Supervised Visitation.
