Supported Employment helps people with disabilities gain employment with businesses in the community. Day Support provided to people with intellectual, developmental, and other disabilities at our site in Hampton. In this program, people with disabilities work on life and social skills, and also volunteer/participate in the community.

Receive complaints of child abuse and neglect, investigate as appropriate, assess child/family safety, and provide services including family stabilization services necessary court intervention to protect children from imminent harm and reduce the risk of further abuse and/or neglect.

Trains individuals 18 and older to perform patient care, run errands, provide transportation services, hospitality, administrative assistance and continuing education and/or in-services. The opportunities are long-term/ongoing.

Issues warrants, admits to bail, commits to jail, issues emergency custody orders, emergency protective orders, temporary detention orders and answers as many legal questions as possible. We issue civil warrants and direct persons to the proper court. We distribute pamphlets placed by citizens against family violence. We direct abused individuals to the proper places of safety.

Provides youth development programs including homework help and tutoring, alcohol and drug abuse prevention, teen pregnancy prevention, conflict resolution, juvenile delinquency prevention, athletics, cultural enrichment, citizenship and leadership development, outdoor and environmental education, and parent training. Promote healthy lifestyle choices that can combat chronic disease, educate the public about emergency preparedness and threats to their health, and track disease outbreaks in Virginia.

Four major types of recovery support services include: (1) peer mentoring or coaching, (2) recovery resource connecting, (3) facilitating and leading recovery groups, and (4) building community. Here is a list of the peer recovery services currently being offered by Warren Coalition:

• assist the peer in setting and achieving recovery goals
• assist peer in learning and practicing coping skills
• support them in their recovery
• attend local self-help groups with the peer
• support the peer in advocating for themselves to obtain needed services
• model effective coping techniques and self-help strategies based on recovery experiences.

Provides free insurance counseling for individuals age 60 and older and disabled persons over 18 and their families. VICAP, the Virginia Insurance and Counseling Assistance Program, helps them to understand Medicare, Medicaid and Long-Term Care Insurance. Assistance in choosing a Medicare Supplement Insurance or Medigap policy is also provided. Counseling can be done by telephone or in person. The program can also assist eligible clients sorting through complicated medical bills and patients' rights issues such as grievances and appeals.

Responsible for providing 24-hour care for youth ordered into our custody, services to family members which promote the child's return to the birth family, and custody studies, home family assessments, and ensuring parental rights are legally terminated if the child is adopted.
