Supportive Services for Veteran Families - Virginia Beach, Virginia Beach Community Development Corporation
Provide eligible Veterans and veteran families with outreach, case management, and assistance in obtaining VA and other benefits, which may include: - Health care services - Daily living services - Personal financial planning services - Transportation services - Fiduciary and payee services - Legal services - Child care services - Housing counseling services In addition, grantees may also provide time-limited payments to third parties (e.g., landlords, utility companies, moving companies, and licensed child care providers) if these payments Eligible veterans may receive the following services: rental assistance, security deposits, emergency and general housing assistance, utility assistance, moving costs, transportation, child care, and emergency supplies.

Households making contact with agency will be asked about veteran status, grosss annual household income, and Section 8 voucher status. There are no shelter or emergency housing options available for nonveterans. Permanent rental housing is offered on a first-come/first-served basis.
