Adults without children who need shelter should contact ERCS directly at 703-437-1975. Adults with children (families) seeking emergency shelter should call Fairfax County’s Coordinated Services Planning at 703-222-0880. Single adults will be assessed by ERCS staff and will be contacted when a bed becomes available.

The Embry Rucker Community Shelter (ERCS) is a 70-bed residential shelter that provides emergency housing for adults without children who need shelter. Adults without children who need shelter should contact ERCS directly at 703-437-1975. Adults with children (families) seeking emergency shelter should call Fairfax County’s Coordinated Services Planning at 703-222-0880. Families need to contact Coordinated Services Planning for an eligibility assessment at 703-222-0880 to receive a referral for services to ERCS.
