Fuel Assistance assists low-income eligible households by supplementing home energy costs. Applications are accepted the second Tuesday in October through the second Friday in November.
Crisis Assistance assists low-income households with energy related emergencies. Applications are accepted November 1st through March 15th.
Cooling Assistance assists households in acquiring or repairing cooling equipment and /or payment of electric bills to operate cooling equipment. Medicaid Waiver programming at Goodwill focuses on providing supports to individuals so they may achieve their personal goals and objectives. The programs operate in accordance with the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services licensing regulations. Individuals receive services both in the Goodwill center and community based settings depending on their preference and interests.
Discovery Services are Day Support programs at Goodwill. Through the programs, individuals will receive the support they need to acquire, retain, and improve their skills in areas that they have identified. A wide variety of opportunities, in both community and center based settings, for peer interactions, enhancement of social networks, and to build natural supports will lead to greater independence. Individuals enrolled in Discovery Services may participate in Group Day Support, Community Engagement, or Community Coaching services.
Programing is offered at the Roanoke Jobs Campus, Radford Jobs Campus, and Rocky Mount Jobs Campus. Individuals living in Goodwill's 31 counties and 13 cities service area are eligible for services, however are responsible for their own transportation.

Regular drug urine screens and breathalyzers are administered to assure that residents remain clean and sober. All residents are required to attend AA or NA meetings daily. Residents attend individual and group counseling for substance use at The UP Foundation.
The UP Foundation is a program in Lynchburg, Virginia that specializes in providing mental health, addiction, and recovery support services specifically designed to help individuals get the substance use counseling and recovery support that they need to get their lives back on track.
