Eligibility

Individuals must be elderly or disabled, and low-income based on HUD income guidelines.

Application process

After a phone call to the office, we mail or email an application to client. Upon receipt of application, we will schedule a field assessment to determine the level of need. We will schedule builds as student schedules and fundraising allow.

Description

RAMPS partners with high school student volunteers to provide wheelchair ramps at no cost to low-income, elderly or disabled individuals residing in Henrico, Hanover, Chesterfield Counties, and the City of Richmond.

Provide ramps to permanent wheelchair users that cannot afford them and engage high school students, giving them the opportunity to serve others by helping to raise funds and build ramps.
