Together, children and adults have participated in special activities, including a pen pal program and a celebration of our Appalachian heritage. Integrates the wisdom and insight of the elderly with the energy and enthusiasm of the young. Intergenerational day care offers children the opportunity to take part in carefully selected, supervised activities with senior citizens. It also allows family members to work or take a break from caring for a loved one. Skilled staff create individual care plans for participants. Staff includes a supervisor, activities director, registered nurse, and personal care attendants. Participants receive recreation, socialization, health monitoring and medication management in a home like environment. Each day we serve a USDA-approved breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack. Collaborate with the AllCARE for Seniors PACE program. Through this partnership, participants receive socialization, in conjunction with therapy and medical services while they attend day care. Generations continues to offer training and support sessions to caregivers throughout our service area.

Unhoused residents: Individuals seeking shelter can go to Homeless Services at 2020A 14th St. N., Arlington, VA 22201, or call 703-228-1010 at any time. The County has additional overflow shelter capacity that can be activated as needed based on conditions and demand.
Shelter day programs will remain open during the storm, providing access to hygiene facilities, warm meals, and other essential services. County street outreach teams will continue to be deployed, as conditions allow, engaging unsheltered residents and connecting them to shelter and support.

Oxford House, Inc. is a network of self-run, self-supported recovery homes for members recovering from alcohol and substance abuse throughout Northern Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia (DC). We provide separate houses for men and women and some houses accept children with parent. When an individual is accepted for membership in an Oxford House, there is no time limit on how long he or she can live there, but the use of alcohol or drugs or non-payment of rent will result in expulsion. There is no clean time required to move into an Oxford House. All houses are near local transportation including buses and subways. Wheelchair accessibility varies by location.
