Provide leisure service program and facilities to all populations and ages in the community.

Develops parks, recreation facilities and programs of leisure activities for adults and youth in Marion and the surrounding area. Programs include: men's softball; women's softball; girls' softball, boys' and girls' tee-ball, boys' and girls' basketball, youth coed soccer, women's volleyball, boys' football, and girls' cheerleading.

The Commonwealth Attorney's Office prosecutes felonies and misdemeanors that occur in King George County. The prosecution takes place in three courts: Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court, General District Court and Circuit Court. The Commonwealth Attorney's Office also administers the Victim/Witness Assistance Program.

Employment program for TANF recipients, part of the Virginia Initiative for Education and Work. Supportive services provided to those required to participate in the program who are working, seeking employment or in an educational program.

RBHA provides Intensive Outpatient Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment for adults through individual and group therapy. Intensive Outpatient Treatment combines individual and group therapy for a minimum total of 9 hours a week over 3 days a week. Treatment includes trauma-based therapy, skills-based work, and relapse prevention.

Services are provided to impaired persons 18 years of age and older, persons of 60 years of age and older, and to their families when appropriate. The services provided include, but are not limited to assisting in placement such as an adult home, nursing homes, etc.; companion services designed assist a person who is unable to care for themselves and needs assistance with activities of daily living; and nursing home/personal care screenings performed by the Adult Services Worker for persons who receive Medicaid or will receive within a 6 month period. These services are intended to maximize self-sufficiency, prevent abuse/neglect/exploitation, and to prevent, delay, and/or reduce inappropriate institutionalization. Companion services are available based on funds, there is a waiting list.

Through socialization activities and meaningful work, members are encouraged by their peers and support staff to develop their functioning skills and to become as independent as possible.

The BabyCare program is a home-based program that fosters safe and healthy pregnancies and healthy babies by providing free education, care coordination, and support services from registered nurses to high-risk pregnant people and infants up to 24 months of age. Services Include:

• intensive case management
• coordination of care
• Pack 'N Plays
• education about prenatal care, birthing, infant care, parenting and community resources.

Free child safety seats and booster seats are also available.

Investigates reports of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of adults sixty years of age or older and incapacitated adults age eighteen or older. If protective services are needed and accepted by the individual, local Adult Protective Services social workers may arrange for a wide variety of health, housing, social and legal services to stop the mistreatment or prevent further mistreatment. Services offered may include home-based care, transportation, adult day services, adult foster care, nutrition services and legal intervention in order to protect the adult. Services may also be arranged for individuals in emergency situations who lack the capacity to consent to services.

Provides online information on promoting communication for people with hearing loss. Provide a list financial assistance resources for hearing technology and support services that are not covered by insurance.

The J-Fit Health Club and Wellness programs offer a balance of programs that nurture the mind, body and spirit. The goal is to provide awareness of making choices toward a more fruitful existence related to the various aspects of one's life. Programs in the Health, Fitness & Aquatics Department meet the needs of individuals of all ages and levels of physical and mental ability.

The Annual Community Thanksgiving Day Feast, a free event focuses on inviting all to partake in the meal, with an emphasis on our elderly neighbors, those in homeless or less fortunate situations, local military or first responders, and anyone who would normally spend Thanksgiving alone. Doors opening at 10AM and meals served starting at 11AM. Guests will also have an opportunity to obtain Flu Shots, shop for clothing, toiletries, and non-perishables.

An auxiliary grant is a supplement to income for recipients of Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and certain other aged, blind, or disabled individuals residing in a licensed assisted living facility or an approved adult foster care home. This is assistance available from local departments of social services to ensure that recipients are able to maintain a standard of living that meets a basic level of need.

WIC stands for the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children. The goal of the program is to improve the health of pregnant, postpartum and breastfeeding women, infants and children (under 5 years) through better nutrition and access to health care.

Support Group Smoke-Less offers a variety of services to help individuals quit smoking and other tobacco products. These services include group support, peer counseling, and information on medications and strategies for cessation. They also provide guidance on building quit plans, identifying triggers, and developing coping mechanisms.

The Child Care Subsidy Program assists families in paying child care costs for children under age 13 who are not eligible to attend public school during the part of the day when public education is available, or children with special needs under age 18 who reside with the applicant. If you are eligible and are approved for services, the Subsidy Program can pay a portion of your child care costs directly to the child care provider.
