Meadowcreek Day Support provides opportunities for individuals to pursue personal interests and strengths in the community through art, music, technology, self-advocacy, and wellness. Meadowcreek coordinates with a variety of community-based services, including Charlottesville Parks & Recreation, Access Arts, Madison House, Meals On Wheels, Best Buddies, and Salvation Army.

The Free Clinic of Powhatan provides mental health counseling for patients dealing with minor to moderate mental health care problems. A psychiatrist is available once each month for medication management in cases that require additional pharmaceutical management.

Special Olympics Virginia is a year-round program of sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. This program provides services designed to discover and prevent abuse, neglect, and exploitation of older persons. Such services mush be coordinated with the local department of social services and local law enforcement officers.

Offers subsidized day care services to families who receive TANF, participate in Head Start and those who meet income guidelines. Eligible parents may chose care provided by family day care homes or centers. Also provides current listing of day care centers and voluntarily registered and licensed family day care providers, including those who are religiously exempt from licensure.

The Smart Way is a commuter bus service that links the Roanoke Valley to the New River Valley. The service begins in downtown Roanoke at Valley Metro's Third Street Station Transportation Center and ends at the Virginia Tech Transit Center. Foothills Housing Network (FHN) is a partnership of organizations that provide emergency shelter, transitional housing, rapid re-housing, targeted homeless prevention, and permanent supportive housing for individuals and families in the Virginia counties of Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange, and Rappahannock. FHN Coordinated Entry is the point of contact for residents requesting assistance for homeless services.
