Provides opportunities for volunteers. Opportunities include driving and delivering meals to clients on a designated route, working on one of our event committees, helping to pack meals, supporting our office staff with data maintenance, mailings, and copying, and delivering hot, nutritious meals to homebound residents.

Services are provided to impaired persons 18 years of age and older, persons of 60 years of age and older, and to their families when appropriate. The services provided include, but are not limited to : assisting in placement such as in an adult home, nursing homes, etc.; transportation when needed; companion services designed to assist a person who is unable to care for themselves and needs assistance with activities of daily living; and nursing home/personal care screenings performed by the Adult Services Worker for persons who receive Medicaid or will receive within a 6 month period. These services are intended to maximize self-sufficiency, prevent abuse/neglect/exploitation, and to prevent, delay, and/or reduce inappropriate institutionalization.

Helps families provide health insurance, including dental coverage, to children younger than age 19. The FAMIS MOMS program provides health care coverage for pregnant women. Encourages pregnant women to get early and regular prenatal care. FAMIS Select helps families pay for private or employer-sponsored health insurance. At least one child must already be enrolled in FAMIS before the family can enroll in FAMIS Select. Allows families to choose between covering their children through FAMIS or through a private or employer sponsored health plan. Dental services for children enrolled in FAMIS or FAMIS Plus are provided through the Smiles For Children program. The Smiles For Children program encourages good dental health and recommends regular check ups. Provides housing for men with life-controlling issues, (for example, problems related to substance abuse, addiction-related behaviors, etc.). Men who are accepted into The Bridge Ministry's 12 to 18 month program must not have been convicted of any sexual or violent crimes. Men receive character building instruction, job training, drug counseling, and educational classes. The schedule is highly structured and teaches the students important life skills they need to live a productive life.
