Designed for teenagers ages 13 up to 18 years old who are having difficulty managing anger, not communicating respectfully, and/or demonstrating low self-esteem

The Domestic Violence program of Family Service of Roanoke Valley includes an anger management program on Monday evenings and a healthy relationship group on Wednesday evenings. Individual and couples therapy is also provided as appropriate. The program is designed to interrupt abusive behavioral patterns and teach new ways of relating and dealing with conflict in intimate relationships.

Offers two different anger management programs, one for youth and one for adults. The program aims to inhibit behavior by improving social skills and impulse control and teaching empathy and compassion. Parental involvement is necessary for the youth program.

The Behavioral Health Services Program provides counseling services to children, adolescents, adults, families and organizations. Services such as: -Mental Health Therapy for Children, Families and Adults -Adult Anger Management Prevention Services -Youth Anger Management Prevention Services -Youth and Adult Job Readiness

Provides outpatient counseling, substance abuse case management, substance abuse education, anger management, and family counseling.

Curriculum includes identifying triggers and cues to anger and completing a conflict trigger scale, developing a plan to keep anger from escalating to aggression, identifying cost of aggression and introducing effective coping skills including reframing conflict and decisional balance activties.

In-office Outpatient Treatment specialization includes: therapy for mood disorders such as depression and bipolar therapy for anxiety counseling for couples counseling for children and adolescents family counseling grief counseling parenting support work and career issues anger management stress management conflict resolution substance abuse, addiction, and recovery ADHD and behavioral disorders

ADAPT is Domestic and Sexual Violence Services' 18-week state-certified domestic violence intervention program that utilizes a compassionate approach. ADAPT teaches emotional regulation skills to adult residents of Fairfax County and the cities of Falls Church and Fairfax who have been physically, emotionally, or sexually abusive to a spouse, partner, child, parent or other family member.

Family Crisis Services (FCS), a joint sexual and intimate partner violence program which provides direct support and advocacy services to victims and their families.. Offers an Education and Community Outreach Program, a Volunteer Advocate Program, a Shelter Program. The Anger Management Program is designed to help children learn positive, non-violent responses to conflict and frustration. There is also a parental component that focuses on discipline techniques, exploring ways to reinforce nonviolent behavior, building self-esteem in children, understanding the influence of the media, and the role of the family and friends.

Provides comprehensive mental health services designed to meet diverse needs of the child, adolescent, and adult populations. Offer the following services: Intensive In-Home, Outpatient Therapy, Substance Abuse Counseling, Anger Management, Mentoring Services, Family Counseling, and Juvenile Sex-Offender Treatment.

Offers a state certified Batterers Intervention Program. Provides domestic violence risk assessment and treatment. Offers an anger management program.

Offers two evidence-based programs that uses a group therapy model for adult males who have been charged with partner violence. The programs assist adult males in learning techniques to control anger to enhance relationships. The Peaceful Choice Program is a court approved treatment for adults, addressing Domestic Violence, Anger Management, Shoplifting, and Solicitation/Prostitution. Best practice, trauma informed treatment with proven positive outcomes. Our programs are designed to empower individuals with healthy, positive coping skills and healing from past trauma.
