Counseling services are offered for all ages and for a variety of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, post traumatic stress disorder, etc. Based on the wraparound process, therapists and family care coordinators focus on recognizing family strengths which can be used to build the solutions that will work for each family. Telehealth options also available if preferred.

The Domestic Violence program of Family Service of Roanoke Valley includes an anger management program on Monday evenings and a healthy relationship group on Wednesday evenings. Individual and couples therapy is also provided as appropriate. The program is designed to interrupt abusive behavioral patterns and teach new ways of relating and dealing with conflict in intimate relationships.

An early intervention program, CHIP addresses the unique mental health risks children and families in poverty face, through in-home family support and parenting education that helps lessen the detrimental effects of poverty.
