Non Profit Agency providing emergency assistance for rent, utilities, and winter heating fuel, based on need, frequency, and cost.

Offers rental and utility assistance based on criteria to be met; location, and family to include children.

Offers emergency payments for electric, water, and fuel. Financial assistance provided once every six months. Client must have referral from DSS or other helping agency.

Financial assistance for utility cut-offs or court ordered eviction notices only.

Work with people going through eviction and those whose utilities are being turned off. Once an eviction notice/utility shut-off notice has been served, we will work directly with the leasing office/utility company to pledge the last $100 after other payments and pledges are made. We will also assist with the last $100 towards security deposits for people moving into our coverage area. Assistance is provided once every 12 months for those who qualify. Funds are on a first come, first serve basis.

MetroCare Water Assistance program will assist the residents in the City of Richmond and counties in the D.P.U. service area with their water bill.

Food pantry, clothing, furniture, household items. Emergency financial assistance with electric, water & utility arrears and rent evictions. Prefer professional referral for these.

Emergency financial assistance is available to registered GoochlandCares clients for rent/mortgage, utilities, heat and other needs in certain situations. When families seek financial assistance, they are required to meet with one of our financial counselors.

In addition, citizens may inquire about available resources to assist with other needs such as clothing, eyeglasses, housewares, etc. A small amount of funding is available to provide a one time assistance with transportation such as a gas card, or a modest car repair.

Utility Assistance is available to assist residents who have suffered an emergency crisis. At various times, there is funding to help with electric,gas and water bills. Each program has it's own requirements. Disconnect notice is required.

VPAS' Emergency Services program provides one-time immediate financial assistance and other resources, including referrals to other public and private agencies to older adults who have an emergency need. Emergency Services may include payment assistance for medication refills, assistive devices, and utility and rent payments. Assistance is provided one-time, per year, per older adult age 60+, who must have an emergency need for help which endangers their health and/or well-being.

Emergency financial assistance with rent, utilities, medical need expenses by referral. The program disburses up to $750 once in a six-month period to clients for rent, utilities, and medical expenses. Payments are made out directly to the payee, not the requesting individual. Referrals are required.

Provides a private religious and charitable organization that offers emergency financial assistance with utilities and also helps with school supplies.

Helping families maintain their water and VA Natural Gas services

Emergency financial assistance to individual families referred by a social worker or LINK sponsored church clergy when funds available.
