Residents in Bristol VA, Bristol TN, Blountville, Bluff City, and some parts of Piney Flats (who are served by BTES). Zip codes in Virginia include: 24201. 24202, and 24203. Zip codes in TN include: 37617, 37618, 37620, 37621, and portions of 37686.

By Appointment. NO appointments will be given after the third week of the month. Closed when snow closures are announced by the Bristol, Virginia(City) Public Schools

Application process

Call 276-466-8292 and leave a message. Call ahead to make an appointment for financial assistance. If you are due to be disconnected within the next seven days, we are unlikely able to help that fast. You will be called for an intake done by a volunteer that will go over your specific needs, household income, and documents you will need to email within a three-day deadline. Required paperwork and utility bills must be emailed to: [email protected] with your name in the subject line.

Electric - Provides assistance for electric and electric deposits may provide some or all, of the required amount to maintain service for 30 days. Client must pay the remaining balance before promised agency funds are released. Heating Oil and Natural Gas - Assistance for heating oil/natural gas payments or deposits may provide some or all, of the required amount to maintain service for 30 days. Client must pay the remaining balance before promised agency funds are released. Kerosene - The Chief Administrator/designee determines the number of vouchers given and if any are to be post dated considering the client need and circumstances. Water - Assistance for water and water deposits may provide some or all, of the required amount to maintain service for 30 days. Client must pay the remaining balance before promised agency funds are released.
