Financial Program - Alexandria, ALIVE!

Emergency financial assistance with rent, utilities, medical need expenses by referral. The program disburses up to $750 once in a six-month period to clients for rent, utilities, and medical expenses. Payments are made out directly to the payee, not the requesting individual. Referrals are required.

Some newly constructed rental and senior housing developments provide a limited number of discounted units through the Affordable Rental Set-Aside program. Units designated as affordable set-asides have long-term affordability requirements, are discounted by the developer to levels affordable to low- and moderate-income renters, and rents and income limits are monitored by the City.
