The Child & Adult Care Food Program At-Risk Snack Program is a USDA FNS program that provides children & teens, between the ages 5 - 18, participating in the City of Richmond Department of Parks & Recreation's after school activities snacks and suppers during the school year. The program serves snacks at 11 PRCF recreation centers and supper meals at 19 After School Program sites. This program operates September - June annually.
The Child and Adult Care Food Program provides nutritious meals and snacks in daycare centers for children and adults and has been doing so for forty years. CACFP also provides meals and snacks to emergency shelters. The Summer Food Service Program is generally administered from the close of the school year through late August. Nutritious meals are provided to participants in these programs that are sponsored by public schools, parks and recreation center, etc.

Child Nutrition, Inc. provides: Training: Instruction in USDA program management, CNI policies and procedures Meal Planning: Sample menus to teach about a variety of nourishing meals and snacks Recipes: Recipes for everyday, seasonal and holiday food to make mealtime interesting Consultation: Advice in food service, child development, and family child care business Reimbursement: Payments in the range of $234 to $488 per month for 5 children

Nutrition Education
Provides reimbursement for meals served to children in regulated family child care settings.
Infant/Toddler Family Day Care (ITFDC) sponsors the USDA Child Care Food Program for children in family child care homes. Family child care providers who participate in the USDA Child Care Food Program receive reimbursements for meals and snacks served to children in care and receive training on nutrition, menu planning, budgeting, food safety, and children's nutrition activities.
Administers the USDA Child Care Food Program for child care homes. Also provides nutrition training and monthly newsletters.
This Federal program is designed to provide nutritious meals to children and adults while in group care by off-setting their center's food costs. We administer this program for child care centers, adult care centers, and afterschool programs.
To ensure that children receive the same high quality meals during school vacations that they get in school cafeterias during the school year. Nutritious meals are served free of charge at sites that are operated or sponsored by a local organization and are approved by VDOE. This program is federally funded by USDA, but is administered in Virginia by the VDOE.
Provide meals to kids in an environment that is safe, accessible and convenient. Provides a local grass root approach to alleviate childhood hunger. At the present time, providing dinner only.
