The Center provides a non-threatening, child friendly environment where trained neutral forensic interviewers perform developmentally appropriate interviews with alleged child victims.

Dominion Virginia Power sponsors this program which provides limited funds for use by Area Agencies on Aging to purchase fans. These fans are distributed to qualified persons in Franklin, Henry, Patrick and Pittsylvania Counties, Danville, Martinsville cities, who request them. Must be: 60 years of age or older; at or below 150% of the current Federal poverty levels; have a situation at home that threatens your health. Fan Care recipients will be asked at intake if someone can pick up the fan for them. Only in the cases where this is not possible, SAAA will try to arrange for delivery of fans to those in need who qualify.

Oxford House, Inc. is a network of self-run, self-supported recovery homes for members recovering from alcohol and substance abuse throughout Northern Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia (DC). We provide separate houses for men and women and some houses accept children with parent. When an individual is accepted for membership in an Oxford House, there is no time limit on how long he or she can live there, but the use of alcohol or drugs or non-payment of rent will result in expulsion. There is no clean time required to move into an Oxford House. All houses are near local transportation including buses and subways. Wheelchair accessibility varies by location.

The Coordinated Entry System (CES) is a process developed to ensure that all people experiencing a housing crisis have fair and equal access to available resources and services. The CES team is trained in crisis response and will identify, assess, refer, and connect households to resources based on their strengths and needs. A dedicated hotline is available to homeless residents and those at risk of being homeless to quickly to connect to help and services, 703-792-3366.

Circuit Court for Buchanan County within the 25th Judicial Circuit of Virginia. The circuit court is the trial court with the broadest powers in Virginia. Handles all civil cases with claims of more than $15,000. Shares authority with the general district court to hear matters involving claims between $4,500 and $15,000. Authorized to hear serious criminal cases called felonies. Handles family matters, including divorce. Hears cases appealed from the general district court and from the juvenile and domestic relations district court.
