These teams are trained to help people needing psychiatric and behavioral medicine support. 1. CONNECT services begin with one toll-free phone call to (800) 284-8898, for an initial assessment. 2. A counselor meets and talks with individuals privately and at length to learn more about their difficulties. Therapy or treatment does not occur at this times simply a way to assess the situation. When necessary, CONNECT will contact a psychiatrist to admit to the hospital. * CONNECT can perform assessments at a physician's office, emergency room or other location that is convenient and safe for the individual, when needed. * CONNECT accepts referrals from physicians.
