The Richmond Symphony School of Music's educational and community programs seek to foster and develop diverse, informed audiences who value live symphonic performances and music education in the community; to help nurture and develop young musicians; and to advocate for music education and orchestral music. The Franklin Business Incubator endeavors to create an environment that supports and nurtures businesses and individual seeking to create or expand their business. A business incubator is a building that houses support programs that nurture young firms and businesses, helping them to survive and grow during the start-up period when they are most vulnerable. The incubator offers shared office services, access to equipment, flexible leases and expandable space all under one roof.

Provides a private non-profit intermediate care nursing home with a floor dedicated to Alzheimer's and dementia residents. Offers a broad continuum of the highest quality senior services in a manner that demonstrates Christian love and compassion.

Health Brigade provide primary care medical services to low income and uninsured residents in the Greater Richmond area to improve their health and wellness.

Provides spiritual books to inmates and prison libraries; maintains a mentor-inmate correspondence program.

Administers unemployment benefits - Initial benefit claims maybe filed online at www.vec.virginia.gov and select the Unemployment Insurance tab or by calling the Customer Contact Center (866) 832-2363. A claim for benefits must be filed during the week a claimant is unemployed.

Campagna Center is pleased to offer camps for students during summer, winter and spring breaks. Winter camp registration generally opens in October, Spring break registration generally opens in early February, and summer camp information is generally posted by early Spring. 911 Center is comprised of 21 sworn employees' under the Communications Division of the Tazewell County Sheriff's Office. 911 Center is responsible for dispatching 25 Law Enforcement, Fire, and EMS agencies.

Colonial Behavioral Health provides a continuum of care in counseling services to through individual, group and/or family therapy. This program uses treatment and intervention to increase the strengths and resources of each individual served. Outpatient counseling serves individuals with mental health, substance use and co-occurring disorders. The program empowers individuals to build skills needed to begin the recovery process. Evidence-based practices are emphasized. Services are recovery focused and based on person-centered planning and client-directed outcomes.

Program supplying nutritional food to income eligible individuals and their families. Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards are distributed to acquire approved purchases. Individuals may visit the web site to determine eligibility. For lost EBT card call customer service at 866-281-2448. You may also go to your local DSS office to receive a new card.

Provides HUD subsidized apartments for the elderly (age 62+ or disabled) including community room with fireplace, barber/beauty shop, laundry facilities, doctor's office, (standard and barrier free doors) and many activities. Consists of 114 units: 99 one bedroom units and 15 two bedroom units.

Environment education for school children involving hands on experience and organic gardening.

Offers new toys/clothing through Angel Tree program at Christmas. Bring picture ID for adults, proof of income, verification of address along with birth certificate and/or refugee cards for all children in the home. Must know clothing sizes, bring an interpreter if needed, and provide information about monthly expenses. 30-45 minutes additional time will required to receive appointment information for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Provides public education services which include special education, vocational training and gifted programs. Offers continuing education opportunities to local citizens. School facilities are available for rental by area civic groups.

Provides outpatient-based services designed to evaluate and treat substance abuse disorders in persons age 5 through 18 years of age. Specific services include: Screening, assessment, and treatment planning Counseling/psychotherapy (family, individual, and/or girls' group) Counseling/psychotherapy (individual, group, and family) Crisis intervention (may sometimes be appropriately provided under this core service area or under emergency services) Psychiatric evaluation and treatment Case Management and Service coordination
