TANF (Temporary Assistance to Needy Families): Direct payment assistance program for families with children in which the child is deprived of maintenance, care, and guidance due to the absence of a parent or parents or due to the in-home parent's inability to provide maintenance, care, and guidance.

The YWCA Sexual Assault Response Program (SARP) facilitates several community support groups for victims of sexual violence and their families. Offerings include groups that are available for parents of the abused child, teens who have experienced sexual abuse, and adult victims of sexual assault.

Provide a variety of complex services to the public and bar, dealing with court administration of estates, file criminal, chancery (divorces) and civil cases. Issue marriage licenses, provide change of name form, approve notary publications and are responsible for jury management.

911 Center is comprised of 21 sworn employees' under the Communications Division of the Tazewell County Sheriff's Office. 911 Center is responsible for dispatching 25 Law Enforcement, Fire, and EMS agencies.

Helps people in our chapter area who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease or related dementias and their caregivers and families.

A government organization charged with the responsibility of maintaining law and order.

Provides financial assistance to eligible families to help pay for the cost of child care so they can work or attend education or training programs. Services are child-centered and family-focused and support the broader objective of strengthening families' goals of economic self sufficiency and quality early childhood programs for their children. Participating families may select any legally operating child day care facility eligible to participate in the program.

Valley Mission is a non-profit organization offering shelter, support, hope and God's love to the homeless. Basic needs of shelter, food, clothing and spiritual encouragement are provided to all. There are two thrift shops operated by the Valley Mission in Staunton and Waynesboro. The thrift shops provide assistance to those in the community needing help with clothing, household items and furniture through the thrift store. Vouchers are available for the thrift store for those unable to afford to buy needed items. Inside each store you can find clothing, furniture, housewares, electronics, appliances, and much more for a great price. And there are daily specials where you can save even more! Provides eligible families with a monthly cash payment to meet their basic needs. For a child to be eligible he must be: *Under age 18, or if 18, will graduate from high school before age 19; *Going to school regularly if he is between the ages of five and 18; *Living with a parent or other relative; *A United States citizen or an eligible immigrant.

Services are designed to meet the needs of clients experiencing difficulties in their lives due to emotional, behavioral, and mental health issues. Provide transitional support and stabilization services to clients returning to the community from a more restrictive environment. The goal is to provide each client with individualized services and training so they can function as independently as possible. Each client will learn to utilize appropriate community resources to maintain stability in the least restrictive community setting.

Assists families and individuals who are at imminent risk of becoming homeless with access to financial resources and referrals to obtain and/or maintain housing stability. Coordinates access to prevention, housing, and other services. Serves as a point of referral for a broad variety of service and housing programs. Provides screening and assessment to identify program eligibility and provide basic housing services and needs. A Continuum of Care program funded through the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD). The program is administered by the City of Roanoke in partnership with the Blue Ridge Continuum of Care.
