This service provides counseling and psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, and adults who are experience emotional and behavioral difficulties, chemical addiction, mental illness or who are at risk of developing mental illness. Referrals are taken though any clinic site or through the centralized assessment / referral center. Mental Health and Substance Abuse Counseling Adolescence and Adult Certified Batterer Intervention

Provides services that work with each client to develop an individualized plan for treatment as well as using an assessment tool designed by American Society of Addiction Medicine, or ASAM. Utilizing the ASAM assessment, and through the cooperative treatment planning process, clients will be invited to participate in the level of care to best meet their needs. Decisions Group is a program designed to help participants take a look at the affect substance abuse has had in their life and to make decisions regarding their personal journey towards recovery. The Decisions Group is a twice weekly group that meets on Mondays and Thursdays. We offer a morning Decisions Group as well as an evening Decisions Group. Strategies Group is designed for clients who have been through treatment before, maybe even recently, and have made a clear and committed decision to live a clean and sober life. Participants in the Strategies Group will work with staff to develop the support, strength, and skills they need to reach the goal of a healthy and lasting recovery. The Strategies Group is a twice weekly group that meets on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. The Intensive Outpatient Program, or IOP, is designed to provide intensive support to clients who are experiencing major problems in their life related to substance abuse and are having significant difficulty in finding their path towards a clean and sober life. This is the highest level of outpatient care provided by HRCSB and meets every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Outside of these three core programs HRCSB also offers groups focused on individuals who not only struggle with substance abuse, but also have other treatment concerns such as coping with depression, anxiety, or trauma. Research shows groups tend to be the best way to support most clients working towards recovery; however, individual treatment plans can include support through individual therapy sessions as well.

Offers a private home based treatment residence to provide a safe, secure environment. At GSL, residents can develop/practice early recovery skills such as resilience and refusal; experience the support of others in a recovery-oriented setting; and prepare for successful transition to the community.

The Behavioral Health Clinic provides mental health counseling (individual and group therapy), substance use services (including Medication Assisted Therapy for opioid addiction and substance use care coordination), and psychiatric medication management.

Region Ten provides a wide array of substance use treatment that includes a comprehensive continuum of care to meet individual preferences and needs, as well as recommended levels of care. This continuum includes outpatient therapy (group and individual), case management, care coordination, intensive outpatient program, co-occurring treatment, peer support, and residential levels of care. These services are provided throughout Region Ten's sites and locations.

Provides modified therapeutic communities in separated living environments for men and women with serious substance disorders in the Roanoke City jail and in the Roanoke County/Salem jail. These jail-based services are followed by immediate entry into intensive outpatient services in the community, and referrals to other needed services.

Life Changes Line is designed to help those chemically dependent individuals and their families who require outpatient help while maintaining work, school and home responsibilities in recovery. Provide confidential counseling for the whole person.

Provides the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, a national 24-hour and toll-free suicide prevention service available to all those in suicidal crisis who are seeking help. Hotline are available in English and Spanish. The network is comprised of over 100 individual crisis centers across the country creating a nationwide coverage area. It is administered through Link2Health Solutions, Inc., an organization with experience in crisis, information and referral hotline management.

Provides a comprehensive array of mental health services for military members. The clinic is an interdisciplinary service offering a range of treatment options designed to alleviate impairment in coping skills, psychological symptoms, social or interpersonal dysfunctions, work or school performance, substance abuse, and lethality. If a given service is offered by another agency (e.g., Family Services, etc.), our outpatient clinic will liaison with that agency in order to facilitate appropriate referrals and eliminate redundancies.
