RBHA offers a variety of resources for individuals in need of substance use disorder treatment services. Types of services include outpatient, medication-assisted, and residential.

Provides psychiatric evaluation, treatment and case management that includes crisis and emergency intervention 24 hours a day for support services and crisis stabilization. Provides assessment for Temporary Detaining Orders. Substance abuse services include: *Outpatient Services * Medical Detoxification * Residential Treatment * Prevention Services * Emergency Services * Individual and Group Counseling Education * Transition and Intensive Case Management * Family Counseling * Adolescent Services * Alcohol and Drug Testing * Referral Services.

Provides a short-term treatment environment for persons who are withdrawing from alcohol or drugs and works with them to accept ongoing treatment as appropriate. Detox operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Detox Center supports persons in withdrawal from drugs and alcohol, and provides a social environment that enables persons, once detoxified, to learn about the effects of drugs and alcohol on their lives and to develop plans for the next step in their recovery process. Detox also works with individuals with a co-occuring mental health problem.

Provides short-term (3 to 15 day) stabilization for individuals who have symptoms of behavioral health disorders that could, if not addressed, result in a need for hospitalization. This service also offers medically supervised detoxification from alcohol and other drugs. Services are provided in a recovery-oriented environment and include skills training, psychiatric care, on site 12-step recovery groups and discharge planning to assure continuity of care in transitioning to outpatient services.

Henrico Area Mental Health and Developmental Services provide substance abuse education and group treatment.

Providing treatment for active duty service members, veterans, spouses and children in all branches of military service experiencing acute psychiatric crisis, addictions, sexual trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Fairfax Detoxification Center - Short-term residential substance abuse program for adults to safely detoxify from the effects of drugs and/or alcohol. Services include medical detoxification, buprenorphine detoxification, outreach and social detoxification. Diversion to Detox - Mobile team of CSB staff responds to police requests to intervene at the scene of a potential arrest to refer the individual instead to detoxification services.

A 28-bed, secured adult inpatient psychiatric facility. Inpatient programming is targeted toward short term crisis intervention, medication assessment, stabilization and detoxification. Services are designed to encourage the least restrictive and structured level of care that is clinically appropriate. Coordination with outside clinicians, community service boards and patient families helps to ensure smooth movement among levels of care, encouraging the transition into community-based life and the patient's home environment. Provides a private, not-for-profit facility that offers treatment to drug and alcohol-abusing adults and adolescents with support to and involvement by significant others. Programs include substance abuse assessment, assessment for inpatient or outpatient medical detoxification, intensive outpatient program, individual counseling and group education services.

Provides an Opiate Recovery Program to those addicted to opiates. Individual and group therapy is provided. This treatment may include medication assisted treatment through contracts with local MAT providers. Those using opiates are a priority population and will be opened to services upon their request.

Offers a medically monitored inpatient drug and alcohol detoxification program. This means physicians and nurses will carefully assess the client's drug and/or alcohol situation, develop an addiction detox plan and guide the client through their individualized plan. This plan is designed to help people gradually withdraw from drug and/or alcohol use. Depending on the particular circumstances, physicians may prescribe medication to help client move safely through this part of your treatment.

Offers inpatient medical detoxification for persons with substance abuse issues. Substance Use Services offers support to individuals and families experiencing alcohol and other drug-related problems. Gender specific treatment is offered - men's and women's teams. Priority populations include: * Pregnant women are offered an appointment within 48 hours of request for service. * Intravenous (IV) drug users are offered an appointment within 5 to 10 days. * People with HIV+/AIDS are offered an appointment within 5 to 10 days.

A private, freestanding center for the treatment of alcoholism, drug abuse, and dual diagnoses.
