Region Ten provides a variety of mental health services to meet the needs of our community. Services are provided for all age groups and are provided on an individual, group, or family basis. Services are also available at numerous locations across our catchment area to those experiencing mental health challenges and who may also have issues with substance use. Mental Health Services are strength-based, recovery-oriented services designed to evaluate and treat the mental health challenges that individuals may experience during their lifetime.

24-bed and 12-bed units provide 24/7 supervised mental health treatment and crisis support for adults ages 18+ experiencing a wide range of concerns, including co-occurring issues when mental health disorders are accompanied by substance use. This community-based psychosocial rehabilitation program is for people with serious, persistent mental illness. Programs provide support and training in community living, daily living, socialization and interpersonal skills, psychosocial support services. Service in Wise County is provided in partnership with Planning District One Behavioral Health Services.

Provides psychosocial rehabilitation day services for adults who experience the effects of mental illness, substance abuse and/or co-occurring disorders. The emphasis of the program is on the development of skills and abilities to support community integration. Town House offers recovery - oriented groups and activities in a supportive, structured setting.

Provides an array of outpatient services for children with serious emotional disturbances, substance abuse disorders and intellectual and developmental disabilities. Services include psychiatric treatment, medication management, individual, family and group counseling, school-based day treatment, Intensive In-Home Services, Infant/Toddler Case Management, and case management for children 3-18. Services are for children only. Child and Family Outpatient Services is the Regional Children's Center which serves the counties of Frederick, Page, Shenandoah, Warren, Clarke and the City of Winchester. Mental Health Support Skill Building Services are provided based on a current assessment of the support, training and rehabilitation needs of the individual, and can be provided in any setting that allows the individual's community living needs to be addressed. Interventions are designed to provide training and support in: functional skills; out of home placement; displaying inappropriate behaviors; activities of daily living; use of community resources; medication management; nutrition; and health and physical needs management.

Individualized community-based treatment, rehabilitation, and supports designed to meet the needs of adults with serious mental illness who often require 24-hour service availability to avoid hospitalization. Complete wrap-around services include intensive case management, psychiatric diagnosis and treatment, medication prescription, administration and monitoring, substance abuse services, counseling, vocational counseling, and life skills training.

Outpatient services for individuals experiencing behavioral health and substance abuse problems, including crisis services, evaluations, inpatient care, therapy groups and outpatient services

Provide goal directed training to enable individuals to achieve and maintain community stability and independence in the most appropriate, least restrictive environment. Each individual will be assessed and have a personalized service plan to best serve their individual needs.

Provides guidance for individuals with serious mental illness who are in recovery. Services teach individuals to manage symptoms, recognize early warning signs, and anticipate stressors. Services provide crisis intervention, supportive counseling, and access to needed resources while helping to prevent hospitalization, and teaching individuals how to maintain a natural support system.

A psychosocial rehabilitation program designed to assist individuals with mental disabilities to achieve their maximum potential. Provides opportunities for the development of social skills, independent living skills, and employment skills within a supportive social network.

Reduces the institutionalization of youths, shortens stays in psychiatric residential treatment facilities, treats children/adolescents in the least restrictive environment possible, aids in the transition of the child into a community-based treatment setting, and helps in the family reunification process.

A community based self-help rehabilitation program designed to assist individuals with their recoveries from mental illness. The program operates as a club where members are voluntary participants and contributors. Members carry out the work of the house, vote on decisions affecting the program and provide mutual support to each other.

Both adults and children are offered individualized service options and specializations to meet their unique behavioral health needs. At this location, individuals have access to both in-person and telehealth care for adult and child medication management, nursing assessments, psychological evaluations, specialized outpatient therapy, specialized case management, emergency services, ambulatory crisis stabilization for children, school based services, health information management, and group therapy sessions. PRS Recovery Academy provides a curriculum-based day program that promotes movement out of PRS' facility-based programming and into meaningful community alternatives such as work, volunteering and school.
