YMCA offers a large variety of Exercise Classes for adults and seniors as well as for different fitness levels.
Wellness classes, mini-health fairs, exercise class opportunities, racquetball, gym and tennis courts, state of the art fitness area, programmable space for rental and meeting use, indoor/outdoor pool opportunities and Lakewood Dance and Music classes.
The Frank J. Thornton YMCA Aquatic Center is a pool-only location, with an indoor heated pool for swim lessons, swim team, water fitness classes and more.

Princess Anne Community Recreation Center offers cardio equipment, weight room, indoor pool, pool ramp & wheelchair, group fitness room, gymnasium, sportwall, racquetball courts, dance room, adult billiards, youth game room, indoor play structure, locker rooms & showers, and meeting rooms. Recreational space is located adjacent to Strawbridge Elementary School and Princess Anne Area Library.

The goal of the class increase strength, balance and mobility for older adults. Classes meet weekly, 8 weeks.
Provides a variety of classes that includes: tai chi, line dancing, light aerobic classes, aquatics and educational programs, a heated senior Olympic size pool, and a large fitness/cardio room with up-to-date equipment. Massage therapy available. Membership is open to the public for persons aged 50 or older. Staff is certified and trained to meet the needs of all members.

A county administered fitness and wellness facility with programs for children and seniors.
Provides a year round sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic type sports for children and adults with disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families and other special Olympic Athletes and the community.
The Silver Sneakers program entitles people with supplemental health insurance to receive a free YMCA membership. Included in the membership is access to special Silver Sneakers classes offered four days per week. The classes are taught mostly sitting in a chair and focus on building range of motion and strength required for activities of daily living. In addition to the classes, we do senior socials and field trips throughout the year.

Provides a recreational facility to the residents of Chesapeake. This center is unique in that it has a Water Splash Pad. Access can be attained with a community center membership.

Provides the traditional fitness amenities such as cardiovascular equipment, strength equipment, group exercise, water exercise, massage therapy, indoor track and locker room. Offers aquatic and land aerobic classes designed for special needs including arthritis. Supervised exercise programs are available for individuals with special/chronic needs.
Offers classes for aerobics, yoga, fitness, strength training, pilates, sports leagues and other activities.
Swimming instructions for ages 6 months and up. The facility is accessible to the physically disabled. Swim team ages 4-17; rehab and water aerobics (all ages); learn to swim (high school) program; Special Olympics swim teams and swim meets; lifesaving and lifeguard courses (red cross); physically challenged middle school student water exercise.
