Summer Camp - Waynesboro, Boys & Girls Club of Waynesboro, Staunton, and Augusta County

Summer camp provides recreational activities including swimming, golf, basketball, kickball, and field trips in partnership with the YMCA, Free Methodist Church, and Crimora Community Center. Educational activities are incorporated into the daily recreational program. Lunch and 2 snacks are provided daily.

Camp - Linville, Still Meadows Enrichment Center and Camp

Offers a special needs camp to provide therapeutic activities for children and adults with intellectual disabilities and/or physical disabilities. Day camps and Therapeutic Horseback Riding are offered to adults and children. Some of the activities campers participate in are: horseback riding, arts & crafts, games, animal care, hayrides, nature walks, gardening, cooking and picnics. A wheelchair accessible tree house is also available. Each Summer Day Camp session is a week long and runs from 9:00AM-3:00PM each day, except on Fridays the camp ends at 2:00PM. There are three camp weeks each summer.

Camp - Virginia Beach, Summer Camp Enrichment Program, Ability Center of Virginia

Provides activities including computer software games, art and crafts projects, daily field trips to museums, bowling and the movies. At the end of Summer Camp, campers, volunteers and families are treated to a camp picnic. Adult, teen and youth volunteers provide a one to one camper buddy experience.

Camp - Virginia Beach, Camp Hope Haven, The Union Mission Ministries

Camp Hope Haven offers an overnight summer camp for children from across Hampton Roads, many of them from the inner city. Activities include swimming, horseback riding, sports, games, arts and crafts, and Bible study. A gymnasium provides an outlet for fun and excitement on rainy days. Donor-funded CHH sponsorships often cover all the costs for low-income families that cannot afford to send their children to camp.

A 4-H Junior Camp - a summer camp program for youth ages 9-12 and 13-18 for counselors. In addition to programming, the 4-H Center is available for rental to groups for business or private gatherings and functions like annual meetings, trainings, and family reunions.

Overnight camps that are open to all military children ages 7-17. The program aims to help military kids experience carefree fun while also learning coping skills to deal with deployment-related stress and fostering relationships with other children who know what they are going through.

Camp - Harrisonburg, Rockingham County Parks and Recreation

Provides a Summer Playground Camp that begins in June for children 4-12 years old. The programs are at the Elkton, John C. Myers, John Wayland, Wilbur Pence, McGaheysville, Mountain View, Peak View, South River, Lacey Spring Elementary schools. The Summer Playground Camp meets June through August weekdays, Monday - Friday 7:30AM-5:30PM. Also provides a Little School program designed to promote the social, emotional, physical and intellectual development of all children in a safe and nurturing environment. This learning environment recognizes that all children develop at their own special rate and emphasis is placed on this individual growth and each child's special needs. Little School meets September through May, 3 days a week, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thrusday from 9:30AM-12:00PM for children ages 3, 4 and 5 years old.

Provides a private, summer residential camp for boys and girls ages 6 through 16 serving to stimulate creative minds, build healthy bodies, and challenge adventurous souls, recognizing and providing for each individual camper. Blue Ridge Recreation Area -Is owned and operated by Rockbridge County. It houses a 25-meter outdoor pool featuring a 12' diving well, as well as a separate wading/kiddies' pool for toddlers (enclosed by a fence). The pool site also includes bathhouses with dressing areas and hot showers, a playground with swings and picnic tables. Lake A. Willis Robertson - Is owned and operated by Rockbridge County. The Lake Robertson Recreation Area is a popular family destination featuring 56 tent and hook-up sites, picnic shelters, tennis courts, Lake Robertson Pool, volleyball court, 10 miles of hiking trails, boat and canoe rentals, horseshoes and a 26 acre fishing lake.
