Adult Day Services - Mineral, Friendly Oaks Center, Region Ten Community Services Board
These programs serve people who are recovering from mental illness by providing a safe and supportive environment that promotes independent living, social and interpersonal skills, and relapse prevention. Attending daily classes provides education about mental illness, substance use, and appropriate medication. Engaging in volunteering opportunities and engaging in social activities promotes empowerment, recovery, and competency. Services include:

The frequency and intensity of the contacts with the Youth Counselor are determined according to the individual needs of the participants. Youth typically are in the program and monitored between 2 and 6 months. Community Attention works in conjunction with the 16th District Court Services Unit to provide Electronic Monitoring, Assessment, and Diversion services to Charlottesville and Albemarle County.
