Campbell County Public Schools provides for a free and appropriate public education for all children with disabilities, ages 2-21 inclusive, who reside in Campbell County and are highly mobile such as homeless or migrant, reside in Campbell County, including wards of the state, who are not home-schooled or attending a private school; and attend a home-school or private school which is located within the geographic boundaries of Campbell County. Special Education and related services are available for persons who have disabilities in the following areas: autism, deaf-blindness, developmental delay, deafness, hearing impairment, intellectual disability, multiple disabilities, orthopedic impairment, other health impairment, emotional disability, severe disability, specific learning disability, speech or language impairment, traumatic brain injury, and visual impairment. In addition, free and appropriate public education services are available under the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and it's supporting regulations for any qualified child with a disability who: (1) has a physical or mental impairment which substantially limits one or more major life activities; (2) has a record of such an impairment; and (3) is regarded as having such an impairment.
