The Infant & Toddler Connection of Richmond provides information on child development, services for children with special needs or developmental delays, and community resources for infants and toddlers and their families. The Infant & Toddler Connection of Richmond also provides temporary service coordination, home visits, and developmental screenings of Richmond City infants and toddlers who are birth to 3 years old and may have special needs. The Infant & Toddler Connection of Richmond coordinates early intervention services within the community according to an individual child and family's needs.

Specialty clinics available upon referral for children needing evaluation and follow up in the following areas: orthopedics, hearing impairment, eye imbalance, neurology, cardiology, diabetes, urology, pediatric surgery, hemophilia, cystic fibrosis. A sliding scale fee is applied, based on income.

Provides an array of outpatient services for children with serious emotional disturbances, substance abuse disorders and intellectual and developmental disabilities. Services include psychiatric treatment, medication management, individual, family and group counseling, school-based day treatment, Intensive In-Home Services, Infant/Toddler Case Management, and case management for children 3-18. Assist by offering early childhood intervention services to any child from birth to three years of age by providing developmental and therapeutic help at the earliest time possible.

Areas Served: Fairfax County, Fairfax City, Falls Church City. Provides a single point of entry into early intervention programs, to include assessments, service coordination and therapeutic support services for infants and toddlers with developmental concerns, and their families. Part of the Virginia Infant & Toddler Connection. Point of referral for all parents or community members who have concerns about development for children from birth to 36 months.

Areas Served: Alleghany County, Clifton Forge, Covington. The Infant and Toddler Connection of the Alleghany Highlands coordinates early intervention services for infants and toddlers, birth through age 3 with developmental delays, diagnosed conditions or atypical development. Services may include developmental screenings - eligibility determination - assessment - service coordination and other services to meet the child and family's needs.

Areas Served: Counties of Botetourt, Craig, Roanoke, Cities of Roanoke, Salem, Vinton. Purpose: Coordinates early intervention services for children birth to 3 years old who are developmentally delayed and /or who have disabilities. Promotes and helps build a comprehensive family-centered early intervention system.

Formerly known as Regional Childhood Development, Children birth to 3 years old in Lee, Scott, Wise counties and the City of Norton found to have developmental delays and/or disabilities are eligible for early intervention services including case management, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and special instruction. Early Intervention is an Infant & Toddler Connection of DILENOWISCO program.

Infant & Toddler Connection of the Heartland serves the following counties: Amelia, Buckingham, Charlotte, Cumberland, Lunenburg, Nottoway, and Prince Edward. The Infant & Toddler Connection of the Heartland provides supports and services in the child's natural environment (home, day care, etc) for children with developmental delays from birth to age three. Longwood University serves as the local lead agency for implementation of the Part C program for families who live in planning district 14. Off street parking is provided and program is totally accessible for the handicapped.

Areas Served: Norton City, Scott, Wise, Dickenson, and Lee Counties. This program provides early intervention services for families, infants, and toddlers birth to age three who have diagnosed or suspected delays in development or diagnosed handicapping conditions.

Areas Served: Buchanan, Russell, Tazewell. This program provides intervention services for families, infants, and toddlers birth through two years who have diagnosed or suspected delays in development, atypical development or an automatically qualifying diagnosis.

Early intervention supports and services focus on increasing the child's participation in family and community activities that are important to the family. In addition, supports and services focus on helping parents and other caregivers know how to find ways to help the child learn during everyday activities. These supports and services are available for all eligible children and their families regardless of the family's ability to pay.

Area Served: Chesapeake. Provides early intervention services for families who have infants and toddlers (birth to age three) who have developmental delays, atypical development, or a diagnosed disabling condition in accordance with Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act IDEA).

Case management functions as the door through which consumers must pass to access needed services. Provides assessment, linking and referral, and monitoring to people with intellectual disabilities within the three county areas. Serves both children and adults.

Purpose: Provides assistance to infants and toddlers (birth through 3 years) with special needs and their families. The children may have one or more of these conditions: a slow rate of development in language or motor skills, hearing or visual problems, and or a physical handicap.

Part C Early Intervention provides a full range of services for infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities and their families. Services aim to provide formal and informal support to meet the outcomes identified by families for their children. Provide outreach, coordinate services, and make referrals in the community as needed.

Areas Served: Cities of Manassas, Quantico, Manassas Park, Prince William County. Provides multidisciplinary evaluations for children who are suspected of having a development delay or who have a diagnosed handicapping condition; development of an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) to meet outcomes desired by the family; physical, occupational and speech therapy; special instruction for infants and toddlers who are eligible under IDEA Part C.
