A family focused program that provides early intervention services for infants and toddlers from birth through two years of age with developmental delays, atypical development, or diagnosed condition. Provides activities for parents to use with their children to encourage developmental growth. Services include: developmental screenings; multidisciplinary assessment; home visits; center-based activities; service coordination, speech and motor therapy. Services are person-centered and community based. Offers services to older children including children's summer camp, respite services, developmental training, day supports, and case management.

Region Ten provides a variety of mental health services to meet the needs of our community. Services are provided for all age groups and are provided on an individual, group, or family basis. Services are also available at numerous locations across our catchment area to those experiencing mental health challenges and who may also have issues with substance use. Mental Health Services are strength-based, recovery-oriented services designed to evaluate and treat the mental health challenges that individuals may experience during their lifetime.

Early intervention supports and services focus on increasing the child's participation in family and community activities that are important to the family. In addition, supports and services focus on helping parents and other caregivers know how to find ways to help the child learn during everyday activities. These supports and services are available for all eligible children and their families regardless of the family's ability to pay.

The philosophy of care is to ensure that children with disabilities realize their maximum physical, emotional, social and educational potential in each of these environments. Provides an array of outpatient services for children with serious emotional disturbances, substance abuse disorders and intellectual and developmental disabilities. Services include psychiatric treatment, medication management, individual, family and group counseling, school-based day treatment, Intensive In-Home Services, Infant/Toddler Case Management, and case management for children 3-18. Services are for children only. Area Served: City of Richmond. The Infant & Toddler Connection of Richmond provides information on child development, services for children with special needs or developmental delays, and community resources for infants and toddlers and their families. The Infant & Toddler Connection of Richmond also provides temporary service coordination, home visits, and developmental screenings of Richmond City infants and toddlers who are birth to 3 years old and may have special needs. The Infant & Toddler Connection of Richmond coordinates early intervention services within the community according to an individual child and family's needs.

EPIC supports infants and toddlers, ages birth up to 3, with disabilities and/or developmental delays who live in Hampton or Newport News. A family-centered program that provides information and support to families of infants and toddlers between the ages of 0-3 with developmental delays. Free developmental screenings are provided for any child living in Hampton and Newport News under the age of 3. Staff help develop an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP), which includes the family's needs, preferences, and concerns regarding their child and their family. Each child/family is assigned to a Service Coordinator at the time of the referral/intake. The support coordinators then set up the tailored therapy sessions with the families to ensure the child reaches their full potential.

Provides a single point of entry into early intervention programs, to include assessements, service coordination and therapeutice support servcies for infants and toddlers with developmental concerns, and their families. Serves children birth to age 21 with special health care needs. Provides care coordination including referrals to health care services, case management, and referrals community support and resources. Maintains a database of regional and local resources for children with special health care needs. Financial assistance may be available to assist with specialty medical care, if income and medical criteria are met. Also loaner hearing aids for children are available through the Virginia Hearing Aid Loaner Bank housed at UVA. Provides a network of experienced and trained parents and other family caregivers of children with special health care needs who assist families to participate in the planning and decision-making about their child's services and plan for the child's future. Blue Ridge Care Connection for Children is located in Charlottesville but serves 16 counties and 5 cities to the West and North of Albemarle County. The Charlottesville area center is known as the Blue Ridge Care Connection for Children (BRCCC). It is a collaboration between the Virginia Department of Health and the University of Virginia Children's Medical Center. The BRCCC is directly affiliated with the UVA Children's Medical Center. BRCC serves the Counties of Albemarle, Augusta, Clarke, Culpeper, Fauquier, Frederick, Greene, Highland, Madison, Nelson, Orange, Page, Rappahannock, Rockingham, Shenandoah, Warren and Cities of Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, Staunton, Waynesboro, Winchester.
