A group of business women who meet regularly to network with fellow business women and support our community by providing local scholarships. Awards 3 scholarships per year to high school students, young mothers attending Germanna Community College and women over age 25 for further education. Application is announced in the local newspaper and is available in early April. Submission is due by June. Also raises money for Services for Abused Families.

Youth Development Program is an after school tutorial and mentoring program that is designed for youth of all ages. Also offer, summer enrichment program designed for children in grades 3-7, the emphasis of the Summer Enrichment Program is on developing a strong academic program through mastery of SOL objectives on the students appropriate grade level.

Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) provides free services to qualified participants with accessing post secondary educational opportunities. Services include GED enrollment assistance, test preparation, academic and career counseling, college admissions and financial aid application assistance.

Project Discovery is a free college and career readiness program being offered to 9-12th grade students who attend Charles City County High School and King & Queen County Central High School. The program helps students achieve post-secondary success by providing a variety of resources tailored to students’ plans. Students attend college campus tours, learn about the different military branches, explore career pathways, and give back through community service. Project Discovery promotes education to end the cycle of poverty for our current students and future generations.

Project Discovery is a community-based initiative that helps high school students stay in school and become the first in their families to attend college. The success of Project Discovery is the partnership between the community, public schools and colleges. STOP Incorporated implements Project Discovery in high schools in local high schools. Students in the 9th through 12th grades are eligible to participate. The initiative provides field trips to colleges and universities and financial aid application assistance. Funded to Serve the Cities of Chesapeake and Norfolk STOP's Technology Busprovides elementary to high school students with a mobile technology and training system that creates opportunities for inclusion in the computer programming industry. This initiative provides students onboard, at local multi-city stops, with code-building processes, mentorship and engagement to prepare them for future economic advancement. The Technology Bus provides learning opportunities in computer programming, software design, gaming and robotics and computer repair and maintenance. Funded to Serve the Cities of Chesapeake, Franklin, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Virginia Beach and the Counties of Isle of Wight and Southampton Youth Development Initiatives are designed to engage youth in middle and high school. These programs provide opportunities for them to gain knowledge in the Science, Technology, Engineering, Agriculture and Mathematics fields through fun and innovative workshops covering these topics. STOP provides comprehensive summer camp experiences that focus on science and technology as well as tutorial sessions for youth focusing on areas of individual need to ensure that educational fundamentals are obtained. STOP's Youth Development initiatives also encourages students to stay in and graduate high school and provides resources and tools for students to successfully make the transition to post-secondary education. Provides clothing and school supplies for students in Head Start through grade 12.

Hospital Schoool Program offers educational services that cover inpatient status, transition to home or school, and maintenance and follow-up care through outpatient clinics. Our staff consists of administrators, support staff, teachers, educational consultants, an assistive technology specialist, art therapist and a music therapist. All Hospital School Program services are free. Parent permission and medical staff permission must be obtained before any services are initiated.

The Write Stuff School Supply program provides a backpack filled with age appropriate school supplies to children grades K-12 to ensure they have what they need to start the school year.

Provides tutoring and mentoring for 5-8th graders at Walker Upper Elementary and Buford Middle Schools from 3:30PM-5:00PM Monday-Thursday. Tutor-mentors provide one-to-one academic help as well as spend time with their students outside of tutoring. This program uses incentives and offers field trips.

A post-secondary access program currently offered through 24 Partner Agencies throughout Virginia in grades four to twelve. Project Discovery encourages students to stay in and graduate high school and provides resources and tools for students to successfully make the transition to post-secondary education. This is the central administrative office for this program. Project Discovery is a proven and replicable program that will help any student succeed in high school and get into college. Over the last 11 years over 84% of our graduates have gone on to post secondary education. Makes a difference in the lives of children who are seriously emotionally disturbed by providing a positive and caring role model, known as a mentor, who spends quality time finding a child's strengths and building on them. Mentors also teach social skills, anger management, and much more while also working with parents, and assisting with school-related challenges.

An adult education center that provides classes and tutoring to adult learners seeking to improve basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics. Additional classes: computer, GED prep, English for speakers of other languages, and weekly job seeker workshops. All services are fee free and confidential.
