Eligibility
Students must reside in Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Suffolk or Northampton County, Virginia and be enrolled in one of the 28 middle schools, 30 high schools, or an ACCESS Scholar at one of 17 college/university campuses served by the ACCESS Program in order to receive our full continuum of services.
Hours
The ACCESS College Foundation administrative office is open Monday – Friday from 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM. Administrative staff works remotely on Fridays. Office hours will vary at each middle school, high school, and college/university. See: www.accesscollege.org/students/
Application process
For a list of specific ACCESS Advisors, their office hours, and contact information for each public middle school, high school, and college/university, please see www.accesscollege.org/students/. Select the appropriate school level. Public Middle School students must complete the “Join Now” Card, please see www.accesscollege.org/join-now-card/. High School students should select the city where their public high school is located. College students can contact the respective ACCESS College and Career Success Advisor for the college/university they attend or plan to attend.
Fees
Students enrolled in one of the 28 middle schools, 30 high schools, or 17 college/university campuses served by the ACCESS Program can receive ACCESS services free of charge. However, some services such as fee payments, application fees, and scholarships assistance are income based by need (these services are still offered at no charge to qualifying students).

ACCESS fulfills its mission by: -Ensuring low- to moderate-income middle school students are well-informed about their options regarding post-secondary education. -Providing high school students with preparation, guidance, and the financial assistance needed to make post-secondary education a reality. -Supporting students while they pursue their certification or degree to help them stay in school and graduate or complete their program. -Assisting graduates in finding a career in Hampton Roads.
