Offers intensive services to families at high risk of removal of their children from the home. The preventive services offered include, but are not limited to: budgeting, securing adequate housing, proper nutrition, appropriate family interaction, discipline, proper medical care, conflict resolution, and interaction with the school system.

Provides community-based case management for individuals affected by brain injury. Case management includes identifying needs and developing a plan of action to meet those needs. Help individuals and their caregivers find their way through the rehabilitation process which can last for years following an injury. After determining what an individual needs and would like to accomplish, we identify and coordinate services to help them reach their goals. Monitor progress toward those goals and build partnerships and teams to create a lasting network for continued support. Primary function is to help individuals affected by brain injury return to their lives - to their homes, careers, school and communities - to the greatest extent possible.

Provides a full service retirement community offering a continuum of care from retirement living, assisted living, specialized dementia care through nursing home care for seniors 62 years of age and older. Our Lady of Peace is a non-profit, non-denominational community sponsored by the Catholic Diocese of Richmond.

Mental Health Skill-building Services (formerly titled Mental Health Support Services) are provided for individuals 18 years and older who suffer from serious mental illness or mental illness with intellectual disabilities or substance abuse. This home and community-based program includes training, assistance and monitoring for individuals with a mental health diagnosis and who meet eligibility criteria.

Services are designed to meet the needs of clients experiencing difficulties in their lives due to emotional, behavioral, and mental health issues. Provide transitional support and stabilization services to clients returning to the community from a more restrictive environment. The goal is to provide each client with individualized services and training so they can function as independently as possible. Each client will learn to utilize appropriate community resources to maintain stability in the least restrictive community setting.

Lynchburg Area Center for Independent Living promote a philosophy of consumer (ie people with disabilities) control, peer support, self-help, self-determination, equal access, and individual and system advocacy, to maximize the leadership, empowerment, independence, productivity of individuals with significant disabilities into the mainstream of American society.

Didlake Day Support Services provide opportunities for people with disabilities to optimize their personal, social, and vocational skills. Our services focus on personal growth and learning to help each individual live a full, responsible, productive life. Programs Community Engagement The Community Engagement program provides opportunities for participants to directly interact with people who do not have disabilities in naturally occurring community settings. While in the community, program participants are supported and encouraged to learn and understand how to successfully engage in each activity with the goal of developing interdependent relationships. Group Day The Group Day Program provides on- and off-site activities that teach individuals to be independent, healthy, and active participants at home and in the community. Didlake work with each participant to develop and meet their specific needs and goals. On-site activities provide opportunities for individuals to participate in wellness-focused classes on exercise, cooking, personal hygiene, and safety. Programs also offer personal growth activities to build communication, socialization, behavior management, self-advocacy, technology, and literacy skills.

Offers a Center for Independent Living that supports people with disabilities who seek to establish an independent life style. Services include information and referral for affordable/accessible housing, personal care, public transportation, interpreters for the deaf or hard of hearing. Also provides peer counseling, independent living skills training, advocacy. Need for clerical volunteers, literacy tutors, and general advocacy.

Fosters a community environment in which people with disabilities can achieve their maximum level of independence. Offers advocacy, information and referral, peer counseling, independent living skills training, transition services for youth, transition services for people with disabilities residing in nursing facilities, assistance devices & accessible home modifications such as ramps and grab bars. Offers community education as well as personal technical assistance on accessibility.

Offers workshops, presentations, speakers and consultation to individuals and groups on disability-related issues. Assists persons with disabilities to access benefits, vocational rehabilitation and other services available to them in the community.

Clear Brook Apartments is a complex for lower income seniors that are 62 years of age and older. Rent is based on income.

Helps people with disabilities who are homeless or who need to locate affordable, accessible housing.

Rehabilitation Teaching & Independent Living (RT/IL) Services help people who are blind, vision impaired, or deafblind learn skills to live more independently. Trained staff visit individuals in their homes to talk about services and support that can help with reading and writing, using a computer, and taking care of everyday tasks. They also teach skills for personal care, socializing, getting around safely, and enjoying hobbies and other activities. The goal is to help each person gain confidence and independence in their daily life.

Provides disability related assistance and services to people with disabilities and the community. Services include: *Advocacy - to promote, protect, and defend the rights of people with disabilities *Information and Referral - to connect clients with resources in their community to better meet their needs *Transitions - to help consumers manage changes in their school, work, or housing. These include home modifications such as the installation of walk-in showers, ramps, grab bars, railings, etc. *Independent Living Skills training *Peer Support

Offers instruction in independent living skills including personal finance, cooking and housekeeping, instruction in Braille keyboarding, orientation and mobility training, the use of white canes, and transportation systems. Services provided include teaching techniques that enable individuals with visual impairments to maintain and retain independence.

Offers studio, one and two bedroom apartments with a variety of floor plans. The Wellness Center at Richfield offers residents living in our apartments a place to achieve their wellness goals. Offering a gym equipped with exercise equipment, yoga/exercise classes, individual wellness coaching, outpatient therapy and a salt water therapy pool. Access to a full continuum of health care services.

DRRC is a center for independent living and assists individuals with disabilities in becoming independent in their communities. Services include advocacy, peer counseling, independent living skills, and information and referral to disability-related resources. Additional services include benefits planning for those on SSI or SSDI wishing to become employed.

Provide a variety of services designed to help adults and young adults with autism develop the skills and confidence they need to reach their full potential. There is a Life Skills and Transitioning services for adolecents and adults transitioning to independent living this program includes a community support program for adults with ASD who are ready to live on their own with a little support and encouragement. Also offer a Career Readiness Program - provides on the job training at all while earning a paycheck. Coaches assist students in building a resume, applying, and interviewing for jobs.

Based on the needs of participants, programs are designed to teach individuals with disabilities the skills necessary for acquiring, maintaining, or increasing their independence. Individual and group training is provided in several categories including: personal assistant management, building self-esteem, money management, navigating ones environment, and self-advocacy. All programs are designed to meet individual needs.

Comprehensive programs are designed to address older adults’ physical, emotional, and social needs, ensuring they receive the necessary support to live independently at home.

Provides independent retirement housing for persons 60 years of age and older. Provides a broad continuum of the highest quality senior services in a manner that demonstrates Christian love and compassion. 88 independent living apartments. One or two bedrooms and a variety of floor plans.

Offering specialized programs designed to meet the unique needs of those on the Autism Spectrum, ADHD, Developmental Delay, Learning Disorders, Deaf, Hard of Hearing and more. Services include: Job Coaching, Life Skills, Social Skill Development and opportunities, ASL Classes, Business School, Academic Tutoring and GED Prep.

Provides periodic support to adults with intellectual, developmental and other disabilities so that they may live independently in their own home or the home of their family in the community.
