The entry point for Ryan White Part B Services. Case Management and Patient Navigation services for persons living with HIV or HCV. Housing/Utility Assistance, Transportation vouchers, and food pantry for those living with HIV/AIDS ONLY. Provides harm reduction education and materials for those affected by substance use issues and free REVIVE instruction to those interested in obtaining Naloxone to prevent overdose. Service Navigation for linkage to basic needs (i.e., food, housing, etc.), insurance enrollment, etc., available to anyone regardless of HIV or HCV status. CHARLII (Comprehensive HIV/AIDS Resources and Linkages for Individuals experiencing Incarceration) coordinates for persons recently released from incarceration who are HIV positive.

A MATTER OF BALANCE is an award-winning program designed to reduce the fear of falling and encourage activity. Classes are held once a week for 8 weeks or twice a week for 4 weeks. Each class is 2 hours. Workshop is FREE. You will learn to view falls as controllable, set goals for increasing activity, make changes to reduce fall risk at home and exercise to increase strength and balance. Workshops are offer virtually or in-person.

Independence House provides a therapeutic, flexible-length, structured living environment for clients after completion of residential or outpatient treatment. Patients receive individualized plans that address strengths, needs, abilities and preferences, and must be attending or seeking employment, volunteer work, or training. We also offer vocational assistance in partnership with local employment services.The program is a three to twelve month transitional living program intended to provide a supportive, structured and supervised living environment to men recovering from substance abuse. Patients must be Arlington residents. Length of stay varies and is based on an individual's progress and clinical condition.

To serve and protect the public and promote a safer community through responsible animal ownership and humane care. The department operates a shelter for the specialized care of animals in their custody. The shelter provides veterinarian care for homeless or unwanted animals until they are adopted or placed with an animal rescue organization. This facility does not euthanize healthy, adoptable animals.

Enforces state laws and county ordinances involving domestic animals.

Households may receive food monthly from the food pantry. Staff will arrange for outside pick up of food, diapers and supplies or provide restricted Food Lion cards by mail.

The City of Alexandria's Street and Sewer Maintenance division provides maintenance and repairs for all City sewers, streets, sidewalks and fire hydrants; maintains stream beds, weirs and stream banks; maintains drainage tunnels, box culverts and stormwater pollution removal facilities; maintains bridges; and conducts snow removal and flood control operations.

Program pays for a variety of medical services, including prescription drugs, doctor visits, nursing facility care and hospital care.
