Mental Health Skill Building (MHSS) is a program for those individuals who suffer from mental illness and lack basic living skills, those who need connections to community resources and require help in managing their psychiatric symptoms. CCCS will develop individualized support plans that are specific to the client’s needs, a plan with an emphasis on managing psychiatric symptoms and establishing consistent medication management.

The Center for Economic Education at University of Lynchburg promotes economic literacy with a special emphasis on educating and supporting K-12 teachers. Innovative, SOL-compliant economic education resources and training opportunities are provided for teachers to develop students into competent, productive participants in our local and global economy. Provides outreach for homeless people who are disabled from substance abuse or aids and/or mental illness and homeless families with children. Supportive services program offers case management, triage, budgeting, referrals, medication, assistive technology, information and referral and other services. Also offers residential housing (rent assistance) for homeless persons with disabilities through the Shelter Plus Care (S+C). The Shelter Plus Care program offers permanent housing, for homeless people with mental illness and/or substance abuse diagnosis. Both Supportive Services and Shelter Plus Care are HUD grant programs.

Counseling, educational and medical services are offered. Maternity clothing is available at the Charlottesville Pregnancy Center and baby items can be easily earned through Building Blocks program.

The Infant and Toddler Connection of the Alleghany Highlands coordinates early intervention services for infants and toddlers, birth through age 3 with developmental delays, diagnosed conditions or atypical development. Services may include developmental screenings - eligibility determination - assessment - service coordination and other services to meet the child and family's needs.

Medication Assisted Treatment Program, Suboxone and Vivitrol Clinic, Accepts Medicaid, Medicare and most Inusrance. Offers Counseling and Case Management as well.

Provides assistance and support to families and educators of children with special needs in Montgomery County.
