They also provide car seat instruction and demonstration.

Fuel Assistance assists low-income eligible households by supplementing home energy costs. Applications are accepted the second Tuesday in October through the second Friday in November.
Crisis Assistance assists low-income households with energy related emergencies. Applications are accepted November 1st through March 15th. All crisis assistance is based on availability of funds.
Cooling Assistance assists households in acquiring or repairing cooling equipment and /or payment of electric bills to operate cooling equipment. The Mission of Mercy (MOM) program operates mobile clinics in strategic locations throughout the state. MOM projects provide preventative, restorative, and surgical dental treatments. At each clinic, patients arrive onsite, register for services, and complete a health information release form. They are treated on a first-come, first-served basis and wait in line until their turn with a dentist. Volunteer dental professionals provide services that address each patient's most urgent need. Common treatments include cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canals, and even dentures.

Provides monthly bags of non-perishable food to income eligible individuals and families. All food for the monthly supplemental bags is provided by the USDA. All food recipients are encouraged to contribute to the cost of operating the program by collecting and donating grocery bags, by volunteering or making a monetary contribution. The LCC also provides the intake for the Louisa County Emergency Food Pantry. The Emergency Food Pantry serves families and individuals in emergency or crisis situations. Eligibility is determined on a case-by-case. All applicants will also be screened for USDA monthly food.

Funds raised through the spring and fall book sales are used to support additional library programs and projects promoting literacy and personal development, and the development of library services.
