Description

Provides a department of local government which serves as elected representatives of the people, and is responsible for the establishment of policy and laws to be carried out by the City Manager, vested with rights and powers to appoint the City Manager, the City Attorney, Clerk of Council, board members and commissioners. Adopts ordinances and appropriates money for all purposes, reviews and votes on budgets submitted by city agencies, sets taxation rates and salaries of city employees, conducts city business, and sale and lease of city property.
