Hypothermia Shelter Services will be provided in the Prince William Area from November 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026. These services aim to prevent the loss of life or limb due to extreme cold weather conditions. The Hypothermia Shelter Services in Prince William Area will be provided by two organizations: StreetLight Ministries and Manassas Baptist Church. 1. StreetLight Ministries (Eastern Prince William County): Location: Super 8 Hotel, 17416 Jefferson Davis Highway, Dumfries, VA Capacity: 26 beds Operating Hours: 6:00 PM - 7:45 AM (open nightly regardless of temperature) Contact: [email protected] or call 703-227-7140 Reservation Process: Monday - Friday (8:30 AM - 5:30 PM): Contact the Coordinated Entry System (CES) to reserve a bed. Saturday - Sunday: Call StreetLight Ministries directly at 703-227-7140. Note: This is not a first come, first served process. You must have a reservation to be admitted. Please do not arrive without confirmation. If you are unable to reserve a bed, contact Ferlazzo Shelter at 703-792-8734 for assistance. 2. Manassas Baptist Church (Western Prince William County): Location: 8730 Sudley Road, Manassas, VA 20110 Capacity: 22 beds and 5 chair spaces Operating Hours: Monday - Sunday: 7:00 PM - 6:30 AM Wednesdays: 8:30 PM - 6:30 AM Sundays: Shelter remains open until 8:30 AM before church services begins. Contact: 571-277-0728 Important Details: Open when temperature reaches 32F or below, including wind chill. CES will announce if the shelter is open or closed on Thursdays and Mondays. This is on a first come, first serve basis. Clients may line up 20 minutes prior to opening on nights the shelter is active. Transportation is not provided; however, a bus stop is located next to the church.

JSSA offers a variety of workshops and support groups for individuals struggling with social, emotional, and physical challenges. These programs include life skills workshops, social skills groups, and bereavement support groups.

CHCG provide individualized training and support to individuals in-home or in a comfortable non-restrictive environment. Assist in developing real world problem solving techniques to encourage independence, personal and community stability. Services will be provided in three month increments with a maximum of ten hours weekly. The Virginia Department of Social Services Foster Care Program provides homes and compassionate foster parents for children who are removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect, or other family circumstances that prevent children from remaining in their homes.

provides academic and remedial instruction for students in the areas of English/Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and Foreign Languages. Students gain specific knowledge and skills to help them meet the required Standards of Learning (SOL) for the State of Virginia. Sessions are conducted once a week for students in grades 6-12.

For those facing financial hardship from unemployment, a family crisis, or a chronic medical condition, EnergyShare is Dominion's energy assistance program of last resort. There is no income guideline requirement, however, clients must have a disconnect notice. EnergyShare intake agencies determine eligibility for EnergyShare and may have additional requirements when qualifying customers for this program. Please be reminded that households must be experiencing a documented crisis and/or proof of financial hardship to be considered.

Provides services, substitute care, and supervision for a child on a 24hr basis until the child can return to his or her family or be placed in an adoptive home or another permanent foster care placement. Local departments of social services provide training for foster parents. The training is designed to help foster parents understand and manage the needs of children in their care.
