Provides an overnight shelter for any individuals who would otherwise be outside in freezing temperatures, mid-November through Mid-March. This is not a shelter for families. The shelter is open on the nights when temperatures are low during the winter time period. This is a nighttime only shelter; residents are not permitted to stay during the day or to store possessions at the building. The adult women's location is downtown at FXBG Baptist Church. Transportation is provided from downtown locations each night 6:00-6:30 pm. In order to get on the bus to the Cold Weather Shelter, prospective residents should attend the evening's community meal at one of the downtown churches and wait for the bus at that location. Prospective residents may also provide their own transportation to the Cold Weather Shelter. Do not arrive the Cold Weather Shelter before 6:30 PM each night.
