Cares for people confined in the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. Provides work, health care, educational, recreational, substance abuse treatment and other services to prisoners during confinement. Offers transitional residential treatment for selected offenders. LIFES Academy provides an engaging alternative setting for students with special needs. Assists students shape appropriate attitudes, behaviors, and life skills so they can realize their fullest potential both academically and socially. LIFES Academy is licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Education and is an accredited member of the Virginia Association of Independent Specialized Education Facilities (VAISEF). Students are referred to LIFES Academy through their LEA's special education department in cooperation with the locality's Family Assessment and Planning Team (FAPT) and Community Policy and Management Team (CPMT).

The Animal Services Unit is charged with protecting animals from inhumane treatment. Animal Services officers enforce state laws and county ordinances as they apply to domestic animals. The unit operates a shelter for the complete care of animals in their custody. The Animal Services Shelter provides comprehensive medical care for homeless or unwanted cats and dogs until they are adopted or placed with an animal rescue organization.

Provides provides loans to very-low-income homeowners to repair, improve or modernize their homes or grants to elderly very-low-income homeowners to remove health and safety hazards. Maximum loan is $40,000 & Maximum grant is $10,000.

Serves adult men with primary diagnosis of Intellectual Disability (diagnosis must be documented as originating prior to age 18). Services offered include: 1) Residential Care with awake/overnight staff in a home-like environment; 2) In-Home/Supported Living Care; and 3) Short-term Respite Care. Applicants must have source of funding, i.e. ID Medicaid Waiver, private pay funds. Provide comprehensive support services in a Christian community setting with the goal of helping each person experience the most independent and complete life possible utilizing person-centered planning.

A 17 session informational workshop series that provides people motivated for change with the tools and support necessary to 'get ahead' in today's world. Participants will work in a group learning environment. The participant will learn how these 11 resources affect their life, the lives of their family, and the community they live in. They will learn that money is only 1 of the 11 resources used to define success. By examining the resources they have versus the resources they need, Participants will be able to create a personal plan, based on goals, to build a future story they choose.

Micah provides an eight bed group home where people who leave the hospital but have no homes may stay in order to receive recovery or terminal care. The Respite House is a temporary-stay facility where individuals experience medically stabilize post-hospitalization. Admission into the Respite House requires a referral from a medical care provider.
