The Expectant Mother Program's purpose is to not only provide traditional case management, but also educational, emotional and everyday support specifically for pregnant and new mothers. Medical attention will be coordinated and arranged with local health facilities that will provide general and prenatal care. One-on-one counseling services will include counseling services with a psychologist and professional counselor. Parenting Support Groups that utilize evidence-based parenting support groups will be provided as the woman prepares for child birth and may also include other family members for navigation and co-parenting services.

Offers a combination of educational and recreational activities for persons with severe disabilities. Community integration is a major focus of this program and frequent field trips are sponsored.

There are several Medical Assistance Programs offered in Virginia. Each program covers different groups of people and each program has different eligibility requirements. When someone applies for Medical Assistance, they are screened for all possible programs based on your age, income, financial resources, and other information. To be eligible for a Medical Assistance Program, a person must meet the financial and non-financial eligibility conditions for that program. Medicaid programs include: *Children under age 19; *Parents and caretakers of dependent children; *Pregnant women; *Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients; * Adults aged 65 or older, blind or disabled (not receiving SSI); *Children or adults who need long term care in a facility or home or who need community based care (Waiver) services; *Medicare beneficiaries; *Plan First - People who need family planning services; *Breast and cervical cancer early detection program.

Works in partnership with the community to provide various support services to individuals seeking employment. Enhance services to residents providing continuing contact with the community. Volunteers are encouraged to work with the Volunteer Coordinator to plan, develop, and carry out new innovative services, programs, and special projects.

Case managers assist individuals in determining eligibility for services and then work collaboratively with individuals and community partners to plan services that enhance the individual's quality of life.

To ensure that Isle of Wight County is prepared to handle all emergencies of man-made or natural origin and additionally ensure that county citizens are provided quality fire protection and emergency medical services provided by our excellent volunteer fire and rescue agencies. There is no income guideline requirement, however, clients must have a disconnect notice. EnergyShare intake agencies determine eligibility for EnergyShare and may have additional requirements when qualifying customers for this program.
