Program which provides temporary financial assistance to eligible families with children. The family receives a monthly cash payment to meet their basic needs. The family must demonstrate financial need and meet TANF guidelines based on federal poverty levels.

Provides supplemental payment to licensed Assisted Living Facilities and locally approved Adult Foster Homes that care for individuals who are elderly or have disabilities that require care. Not all ALF's will accept the state approved rate. The client retains a monthly allowance for personal needs, and the rest of the monthly income is used to pay for care. The Auxiliary Grant pays the difference between the client's income and the approved rate.

Serves low income residents of the City of Charlottesville by providing affordable housing for low income families including seniors and individuals with disabilities. The CRHA manages 376 units of public housing at 11 sites in Charlottesville. The Charlottesville Redevelopment & Housing Authority also administers 300 "Section 8" rental units through leased contracts with private owners and provides First Time Home Buyer Assistance and Down Payment & Closing Costs Assistance. The Vocational Rehabilitation program helps people who are blind, vision impaired, or deafblind prepare for, find, keep, or return to work. Each person’s plan is built around their unique strengths, needs, interests, and goals. The program offers a variety of services, such as training to adjust to vision loss, career counseling, education or job training after high school, tools and equipment for work, and help finding and keeping a job. It can also include changes to make school or job sites more accessible. The main goal is to support individuals in becoming active and successful members of the workforce.

Offers programs designed to provide intensive reading and English language instruction, arts enrichment, cultural experiences and leadership opportunities for school-age children and youth grades K-8.

The Highlands Place Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with an Intellectual Disability, is a residential program providing comprehensive, continuous healthcare and rehabilitation services to individuals with intellectual and well as physical and other disabilities. The goal of the program is to promote the functional status and independence of residents.

A private agency licensed by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) providing In Home Support Services to individuals with an Intellectual and/or Developmental Disability (IDD). Services are individual-specific as indicated during the annual planning meeting and provide targeted skill-building and daily living assistance directly in the individual's home or family home and in the community.
