Recovery Support services are designed to benefit individuals and their families who are facing a substance use disorder and/or a co-occurring mental health disorder. This program nurtures self-direction, empowerment, and choice. Recovery is often a difficult journey that Recovery Support aims to make easier by providing peers – staff with lived experience in the areas of substance use and mental health concerns – who can provide emotional and informational support. Peer Support Specialists in the program provide assistance with referrals to Region Ten and community resources, transportation, and offer hope in each person’s recovery journey.

Person-centered Options Counseling is an interactive decision support process where people are supported in making long-term support choices that reflect their unique preferences, strengths, needs, values, and circumstances. Options Counseling is provided by individuals trained and practicing according to Virginia's Statewide Standards.

Provides protection for adults from abuse and neglect. Investigates and responds to reports of suspected abuse of disabled adults over age 18 and any person over age 60.

Inova Loudoun Hospital Mobile Health Services provides a variety of health screenings, health education, and preventative services countywide.

The Fort Hill Community School is a nationally recognized alternative program. It is a program designed to accommodate educational, behavioral, and/or medical needs of students that cannot be adequately addressed in a traditional school environment. Placement in alternative education is determined by the school division. The goal of our alternative program is to provide opportunities for students who are not succeeding in the traditional classroom setting by helping them acquire the academic and social skills necessary to succeed.

Client keeps a small monthly allowance for personal needs, and the rest of their monthly income is applied to the State approved rate. The Beard Center provides community education on healthy aging and problems of aging. Several workshops and an annual summer conference are held each year for community members, professionals and students. Death records are filed at the health department in the county in which the death occurred, not the county in which the person lived. Certified copies can be obtained only by a relative of the deceased or by a representative of a funeral home. Local health departments have death records on file from 1963 to the present.

For those facing financial hardship from unemployment, a family crisis, or a chronic medical condition, EnergyShare is Dominion's energy assistance program of last resort. There is no income guideline requirement, however, clients must have a disconnect notice. EnergyShare intake agencies determine eligibility for EnergyShare and may have additional requirements when qualifying customers for this program.

APS provides spoken and ASL interpreting services for families, students, and staff. Arlington Public Schools provides written language translation services for families who speak a language other than English on an as-needed basis

KPWB has served as the community’s resource for litter cleanups by providing supplies and any educational support. KPWB staff conducts monthly cleanups around the county that are open to all volunteers, and any volunteer is able to register a personal cleanup with us to receive supplies for in advance and lead themselves.

Pre Admission screening process for individuals seeking Medicaid coverage of long term care services. Requests for screenings are made through the Department of Social Services. In home assessment by a registered nurse and a social worker. Identification of local community resources.
