VICAP counselors assist seniors with Medicare and help seniors and caregivers understand and compare Medicare and other health insurance benefits. Counseling is non-biased, confidential and free.

Pre-Admission Nursing Home Screenings are performed in-home by a public health nurse and adult services social worker for patients needing assessment of care level needed and as a pre-requisite of nursing home placement. This screening is also used to assess the need for in home services as an option to nursing home placement.

Project Lifesaver helps provide rapid response to save lives and reduce potential for serious injury for adults and children who wander due to Alzheimer's, Autism, Down Syndrome, dementia and other related disorders.

Greater Reach Community Services Board provide residents of the community with substance use treatment and intervention. Emphasis is placed on treating and developing the whole person in the context of the family unit and the community.

Provides health care for expectant mothers and their babies in order to give children the best possible start in life. Nurses work with expectant mothers of all ages; mothers expecting their first babies, and mothers expecting their fourth; mothers who are in their first trimester of pregnancy, and those who will delivery in a matter of weeks. Ensures that all pregnant women enrolled in the program are covered with health insurance through either Pregnant Medicaid or FAMIS Moms. Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (known as TANF) provides temporary cash assistance and employment-related services to enable families with children to become self-supporting. The program promotes economic independence through participation in the Virginia Initiative for Education and Work (VIEW) program, which offers employment-related activities, education, training and needed support services.
