The OppInc One-Stop Workforce Center is part of the nationwide system of American Job Centers, which leverage public workforce dollars with other state and local funding; business resources; and foundation support to provide career development services for local workers and deliver workforce solutions to local employers. OppInc. One-Stop Workforce Centers offer a comprehensive range of services to help you find a job. Services provided through the Workforce Centers are funded through the U.S. Department of Labor so there's never a charge, although eligibility may apply for certain services. OppInc. One-Stop Workforce Centers are also members of the EleVAte Virginia.

Elmtree is a group home for individuals 18+ who have an intellectual disability and other secondary disabilities, such as emotional/behavioral problems or physical disabilities. Elmtree provides access to social and recreational activities and makes available religious and employment opportunities in the community or at home. The application process includes providing credit references, housing references, verification of income and disability. Renters must meet all VHDA requirements and sign a one-year lease. Elmtree has available staff on-site 24 hours a day.

The Energy Assistance Program consists of three components:
Fuel Assistance assists low-income eligible households by supplementing home energy costs. Applications are accepted the second Tuesday in October through the second Friday in November.
Crisis Assistance assists low-income households with energy related emergencies. Applications are accepted November 1st through March 15th. All crisis assistance is based on availability of funds.
Cooling Assistance assists households in acquiring or repairing cooling equipment and /or payment of electric bills to operate cooling equipment. Applications are accepted June 15th through August 15th. Additional information about EAP is available at www.dss.virginia.gov.
