An Alternative Peer Group (APG) program provides recovery support for young people and and their families who are dealing with the devastating effects of substance use. APG Programs typically provide the following services: 1) Supportive, intensive outpatient therapy 2) After-school programming 3) Teen support groups 4) Clean, Sober and Fun Pro-social activities 4) Educational support 5) Family counseling 6) Parent & family support services. We have developed a program for adults as well, offering sober living housing for males and females.

Recovery Support services are designed to benefit individuals and their families who are facing a substance use disorder and/or a co-occurring mental health disorder. This program nurtures self-direction, empowerment, and choice. Recovery is often a difficult journey that Recovery Support aims to make easier by providing peers – staff with lived experience in the areas of substance use and mental health concerns – who can provide emotional and informational support. Peer Support Specialists in the program provide assistance with referrals to Region Ten and community resources, transportation, and offer hope in each person’s recovery journey.

Horizon offers specialized program options for clients across the lifespan and their families, as early as age two.
