An Alternative Peer Group (APG) program provides recovery support for young people and and their families who are dealing with the devastating effects of substance use. APG Programs typically provide the following services: 1) Supportive, intensive outpatient therapy 2) After-school programming 3) Teen support groups 4) Clean, Sober and Fun Pro-social activities 4) Educational support 5) Family counseling 6) Parent & family support services. We have developed a program for adults as well, offering sober living housing for males and females.

A recovery community organization serving individuals affected by the disease of addiction by helping them live drug free. Peer led programs offered and services to individuals and families to deepen their understanding of the chronic disease. Program equips participants with recovery management skills and delivers specialized recovery tools. Also offers a wide range of programs, for all age groups including children and teen educational groups, discovery groups for women and men, recovery support services and community activities.

Four major types of recovery support services include: (1) peer mentoring or coaching, (2) recovery resource connecting, (3) facilitating and leading recovery groups, and (4) building community. Here is a list of the peer recovery services currently being offered by Warren Coalition: - assist the peer in setting and achieving recovery goals - assist peer in learning and practicing coping skills - support them in their recovery - attend local self-help groups with the peer - support the peer in advocating for themselves to obtain needed services - model effective coping techniques and self-help strategies based on recovery experiences.

Certified Peer Recovery Specialists will help guide clients recovery needs and journey. With one-on-one support, you can build a strong foundation for a lifetime of sobriety and learn new ways of engaging with family, friends and your community.​

Recovery Support services are designed to benefit individuals and their families who are facing a substance use disorder and/or a co-occurring mental health disorder. This program nurtures self-direction, empowerment, and choice. Recovery is often a difficult journey that Recovery Support aims to make easier by providing peers – staff with lived experience in the areas of substance use and mental health concerns – who can provide emotional and informational support. Peer Support Specialists in the program provide assistance with referrals to Region Ten and community resources, transportation, and offer hope in each person’s recovery journey.

Therapeutic Substance Use Outpatient Treatment Services are designed to address the disease of addiction and related behavioral concerns that individuals experience throughout their lifetime. Horizon offers specialized program options for clients across the lifespan and their families, as early as age two. Offer community-based outpatient treatment options and residential recovery services to meet the individual needs of the client. Peer Recovery Support Specialists are embedded in our substance use disorder treatment programming. Peers are individuals with lived substance use and/or mental health experience who serve as role models, advocates, and support to those in treatment. Peers encourage pro-social behaviors and activities and assist clients with linkages to recovery resources. Peer support is essential to living with the disease of addiction, so we offer individual and group counseling sessions facilitated by Peer Recovery Support Specialists (PRSS) who have completed their peer certification. The center provides a comprehensive range of services tailored to the specific needs of the community, including food, clothing, addiction recovery support, computer training, educational programs, health clinics, job training/placement, legal aid, ESL classes, life skills, and parenting classes.
