Substance Use/Day Treatment - Roanoke, Day Treatment and Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP), Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare

A continuum of intensive outpatient services for adults with serious substance use disorders, primarily offered in group therapy meeting multiple times each week. Two-day treatment services, one for those with a primary mental illness and one for those with a primary substance diagnosis, both meet for three or four hours each day. Those who have co-occurring mental and substance disorders are served in all groups.

RESPOND assessments are also available through Montgomery Regional Hospital in Blacksburg and Pulaski Community Hospital.

Outpatient Substance Use - Blacksburg, New River Valley Community Service

A program of NRVCS Adult and Family Services. Provides what an individual would get in terms of education and therapy from a traditional residential substance abuse program while allowing the person to stay at home and continue with his or her regular job. The group meets three nights each week for ten weeks. Each night's session is for 3 hours. The maximum number for each group is 12 people. The group is open-ended so that people can join during any part of the ten-week cycle and gain full benefit. Individual counseling is a concurrent requirement.
