Services provide crisis intervention, supportive counseling, and access to needed resources while helping to prevent hospitalization, and teaching individuals how to maintain a natural support system.

This service is appropriate for youth who meet criteria for a Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED), or at-risk of developing SED. Emphasis is placed on involving parents in the treatment process and working within the multidisciplinary team, with the goal of maintaining the youth in the school, home, and community environments.

Turning Point provides a way to intervene rapidly after a first episode of psychosis, and to provide wraparound services for the young person with the goal of getting them re-engaged in the community and less dependent on a service system. The early intervention program helps the young people and their families understand and manage symptoms of mental illness and/or substance use disorder, while also building skills and supports that allow them to be successful in work, school, and life in general.
