After school child care for students at New London Academy, Forest Elementary Thomas Jefferson Elementary, Goodview Elementary, Stewartsville Elementary. This is a seasonal program that starts at the beginning of the school year and ends at the end of the school year.

Main Street Child Development Center offers before and after-school care to elementary school aged children. Accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
YMCA before and after-school child care in Portsmouth focuses on safety, health, social growth and academic enrichment. The Y provides a safe and fun place for kids to go, so that parents can work or study. Children have options to explore and develop their interests and talents. Agape Early Learning Center is a faith-based program that operates 12 months per year. Enrollment is open to the general public, serving children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. Services Provided: preschool, infant care, before-school and after-school care, part-time and drop-in care.

Centerville Baptist Children's offers programs for infants through kindergarten, and before and after school care for school aged children.

The Out of School Time program blends recreation activities such as sports, arts and crafts, games, fitness, music and dance, with programs that focus on nutrition, health, reading, math, life skills and character building. Dinner is provided by the United States Department of Agriculture under the guidelines of the Child and Adult Care Food Program.
Provides after school programs for elementary school children to interact with their friends, do homework, enjoy fun art, music and dance activities, play games and sports, learn from visitors who come to share special hobbies, talents, etc. and to engage in community service projects.
