Preschool classes are offered for 2 year olds, 3 year olds, and 4 year olds. We provide Monday through Friday classes for all age groups. In addition, a Tuesday/Thursday class is offered for 2 year olds and a Monday/Wednesday/Friday class for 3 year olds. We offer two sessions of programming: the school year (September - June) and summer camp (June - August) After school care is offered for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade who attend Chittum Elementary, Western Branch Primary, and Western Branch Intermediate. Public school Kindergarten care is available before school (7:00-7:30 am) and after school (2:45-6:00 pm). Kindergarten care is not available during public school hours.

Provides before and after school state-licensed school-age child care program and youth development in 5 core program areas for Grades K-5. Participants will have opportunities to participate in a wide variety of supervised activities within a framework of Education and Career Development, Sports, Fitness and Recreation, Character and Leadership Development.

Provides a setting where classroom staff provide help youth age 6 to 18 with daily homework assignments. Children and youth are encouraged by rewards and treats to enjoy the process of learning in the classroom setting. Also offers recreational activities.

Provides developmental child care serving children between the ages of 6 weeks and 10 years of age, including before and after school program for Taylor and Ghent Elementary. naeyc accredited.

After school child care for students at New London Academy, Forest Elementary, Thomas Jefferson Elementary, Goodview Elementary, Stewartsville Elementary, Boonsboro Elementary, Bedford Elementary, Montvale Elementary, and Bedford Primary. This is a seasonal program that starts at the beginning of the school year and ends at the end of the school year.

Provides a Creative Learning After School and Summer program whose mission is to create a safe, reliable and caring environment for students, grades kindergarten through six, at each individual school site. Out-of-school-time programs run both before and after school until 5:30PM. Provide programming throughout the school year and in the summer.

RHCDC offers Preschool for children ages three through Pre-K and After-School Care, Summer Camp and Drop-In Care programs for school age students in the cities of Roanoke and Salem, Roanoke County and local private schools. Small class and group sizes allow staff to spend more individualized time with students.

After-school program for children in grades K-12. Provides tutoring, homework assistance, music lessons, field trips, parent education and a reading enrichment program. Teachers, counselors and volunteer tutors work with each child daily. Individual and family counseling is available on-site through a partnership with Family Service of Roanoke Valley. Volunteer mentors from community churches, businesses and civic organizations provide support, friendship and act as positive role models to enrolled children.

Offers a child care program that serves as a before & after school program through the 5th grade. Transportation from local schools is available. Offers a full-time summer schedule for preschool through 5th grade.

Pick up children from most City Schools, provide snack, homework help, study time and various activities.

After School Tutoring is provided every school day for neighborhood children ages 7 thru 14 from 3:00pm until 6:00pm. Program is offered September-June. Summer Lunch Program provides nutritious lunch for children ages 3 thru 18 from 12:30pm until 1:00pm. A recreation time is provided from 11:30am until 2:30pm. Any student ages 7-18 may come for a free lunch as well as being able to participate in the enrichment program. We will feed any child under age 7 but they will have to be accompanied by an adult (parent/guardian) not a sibling or younger family member - NO exceptions.

Provides after school programs for elementary school children to interact with their friends, do homework, enjoy fun art, music and dance activities, play games and sports, learn from visitors who come to share special hobbies, talents, etc. and to engage in community service projects. The after school programs are provided at the local elementary schools sites. H.E.A.R.T. stands for Healthy Environmental Afterschool Recreation Time.

The Out of School Time program blends recreation activities such as sports, arts and crafts, games, fitness, music and dance, with programs that focus on nutrition, health, reading, math, life skills and character building. Dinner is provided by the United States Department of Agriculture under the guidelines of the Child and Adult Care Food Program.
